Two soldiers were standing on the edge of a battlefield. Gunfire and explosions could be heard from every direction.

"Hey?" The blue one said.

"What?" The red answered.

"How long do we have to stand here?"

"Until one of the teams gets 25 kills." She said and shot a bird out of the air.

A ball of fire emerged from a warthog in distance and caught their attention for a second, they then continued to stare at nothing in particular.

"And which team is in the lead? "

"Mine."

"With how many kills?"

"15."

The blue soldier sighed deeply and zoomed in on the warthog chase going back and forth in front of them.

"I could just kill all of them, right now." He said as he traced his sergeant in his crosshairs.

"No, you couldn't, because you only have training rounds...idiot."

"Stupid training rounds that won't kill stupid reds and stupid blues." He murmured and lowered his sniper rifle.

"Here they come, get ready". The red soldier said and aimed her rifle at the blue as the warthogs closed in.

The blue soldier holstered his rifle and aimed his sidearm at the red.

The first warthog sped by with three red soldiers in it. The second warthog slowed down to a halt next to the two soldiers.

"Private Hank! "

The blue soldier in the passenger said and pointed his rifle at the red.

"Yes sir! "

"Need any help with this one?"

"No sir, I have it under control."

"You sure? I could just.."

"I said I got it! ... Sir."

The sergeant hesitated for a moment.

"Alright, carry on private."

"Yes sir!"

The warthog drove off in pursuit of the reds.

The two soldiers lowered their weapons and stood turned facing the battlefield again.

"I hate this place so fucking much." The blue exclaimed.

"Just do what I do."

"And what exactly is it you do?"

"Consider the alternative." She said and shot another bird.

The blue didn't respond.

"Feel better?" the red asked.

"Yeah I guess, a little." The blue murmured.

The Blue soldier counted his ammunition in a futile attempt to pass the time.

"Still 48 bullets left after having fired exactly zero, that's kinda weird huh?" The red said and chuckled.

"What's the score now? " The blue asked.

"20-16 Blue" She answered.

"You wanna speed it up a bit, so I can stand here without hearing all this gunfire?"

"Sure, what's the play?" She asked eagerly.

"You tell your team to make a stand at your base." The blue said

"And you take them out as the warthog circles it." The red continued.

"Sync?"

"Sync."
