Iceflower stared at Graystar. Smog was his brother? How? Smog is my kin! Iceflower thought.

Graystar growled at Smog. "Hello Smog."

Smog smiled. " Do you remember the day when you exiled me, Graystar?"

Graystar hissed. "I remember it well, Smog."

Smog growled. " That day was a great day for me. I killed three cats Graystar! Want to know who? First I killed Flowerbush, our beloved sister. Then I killed Foreststar! He begged me to spare him! How puny he was. Then last of all I killed Chesnutfur, our beloved mother!"

Graystar yowled. "You're the evilest cat I have met!"

Smog lunged at him and pined him down. "Evilest? No, no I would say smartest, Graystar. I deceived you Graystar! I knew I would get exiled and I let myself so I could build a great army! The reason we lost was this cats fault!" Smog leapt ofGraystar and pinned Peanut.

Graystar then quickly pushed him over. "Not so smart to let the enemy up!" Graystar sliced his claws down Smog's face causing blood to ooze out. Smog yowled in pain and anger and pummeled Graystar's belly. Graystar bit down on his shoulder tearing fur from it. At last Smog kicked Graystar away and sliced his muzzle. Graystar howled his rage and leapt onto Smog's back biting down on his neck. Meanwhile Iceflower bit down had onto Blizzardsmoke's neck. She then fell limp. Iceflower glanced over to see Graystar standing over Smog's limp body.

Graystar looked up, blood clotted in his muzzle fur. "He's dead. Blizzardsmoke is dead, too. Smog's reign has ended!"

Iceflower looked over at Peanut who chanted victory with the rest of the clan cats. "Peanut!"

Peanut snapped her head around. "Oh hey Iceflower. I was just about to leave."

Then Graystar padded up. "Leave? Why leave Peanut? I want you in the clan now."

Peanut's eyes lit up. "Really? Thank you Graystar! Also I want to be Peanutfur now."

Graystar nodded and rose his voice to the rest of the clan. "A new cat joins us tonight! She will be known as Peanutfur!"

The clan chanted her name. "Peanutfur! Peanutfur!"

Iceflower felt fur press against her side. She turned her head to see Whiskerfire. "Hey Whiskerfire."

Whiskerfire sighed. "Hey Iceflower. I really wanted to tell you something."

Iceflower buzzed with excitement "What is it?"

Whiskerfire looked her in the eyes. "I love you, Iceflower."

Iceflower purred. "I love you too, Whiskerfire."

Iceflower entwined her tail with his and they padded off to the warriors den.
