Deceive by enLIGHTenment

Warning: This is a slash fan fiction, that means guy/guy. That right kiddies, gays. It's Harry/Draco in this particular fiction, so please don't flame me over the issue.

Disclaimer: I own the rights to nothing. But, ya know, my Birthday's in January if anyone feels pity.

Harry Potter had an issue. A rather large, unnerving issue that had been staring him in the face recently.

It was something he was certain no one would believe, even if he did tell them.

That was because Harry Potter had a crush, a rather... inconvenient crush. Oh, he knew he could have any witch this side of the war, (not to mention most on the other side) But he wasn't interested in the witches.

And there was his problem. Harry Potter, the boy who lived had figured out he was gay.

Pretty bad, ne?

But, that really wasn't the worst of it, he could have hid it, dealt with it. Maybe go out on a few more dates with the Chang girl.

But you see, Harry Potter was suffering from a crush.

First of all, Harry couldn't possibly pursue anyone, after all he would just be being selfish, what with the prophesy looming the way it was.

Second of all, he didn't know if the other guy was interested, not just in him, but other men in general.

And third, the big one, this Crush of the boy-who-lived was no other than Draco Malfoy. Son of a death eater, Potter's biggest rival, and an all around bastard in general.

One might one wonder how someone with Harry's skill, his ambition, his integrity would handle such a compromising situation.

Well, he didn't.

Harry simply went through a good four years at Hogwarts just sitting on his hands.

Waiting, hoping that maybe Draco felt the same way. That maybe, just maybe Draco would make the first move.

a/n. Well? It's a pretty good generic start to something bigger, if I do say so myself. and I probably do. ;-p

Ah well, I suppose this will be good enough until I get my ideas together enough to write a proper novel length fanfiction.

read, review, and give an author hope.
