Waiting

He said they would see each other

In the next life.

But, where is he?

The man sits on the lonely tower,

Simply waiting.

His heart had returned to him,

But his heart has yet to come.

The others worry for his sake,

Thinking it's pointless to hold on.

But, he knows better.

If he waits long enough,

Maybe he will come.

The man descends from the top

Down to the station below.

He searches, but no luck.

He won't find his heart here.

He's bound to lose his mind,

Without his sanity here.

Where can he look?

He walks through those woods,

Thinking this is his only chance.

What does he find?

He sighs in relief,

Seeing that he is o.k.

He grabs the other

Who sits on the ground,

And smiles, saying:

"I've been waiting so long,

And now you're finally here."
