Chapter One:
Escape

Reira opened her eyes, for the first time in months, there was no one guarding her cell door. Seeing her chance, she slipped on her tunic and shoes, and snuck out the door, and closed it quietly. The last thing she wanted to do was to be noticed out of her cell after hours.
The Komatsu Estate was very large, and although Reira was fairly new to the place, she had already memorized the layout. Quickly she ran down the hallway to the right. Sensing that someone was approaching, she ducked behind a rather large vase.
It was a young man dressed in fine clothing. Reira couldn't help but notice the strange color of his hair. He was no doubt handsome with his blue hair and gray eyes, but something about the way he held himself, told her something was wrong.
Please, please don't find me! She thought to herself, just be keep walking, don't look around…
As she hoped, he went on his way not caring to look up from the floor as he walked. A Few seconds after he walked around the corner, Reira headed once again for the exit. She turned a corner and found herslef in the kitchen. Being the ideal opportunity she quickly grabbed some bread, water, and cheese. She then went out through the servants door to the outside.
This feels really nice, as the cooling wind swept through her hair, I don't think I've been out side for a year!
Remembering her situation, she continued down a stone path that led to the Estate gates. She looked around; no surveillance; She tossed her food over, and then jumped over the gate she picked up the food and rand into the woods ahead of her.
After running for two hours, she needed a break. Reira sat herself under an old Oak Tree. There she took out the gourd of water and drank greedily. Knowing she wouldn't feel safe until she had crossed the border into the fire nation, she stood up and began to run. Then, Darkness... She blacked out.

When she awoke it was daylight. She hadn't been caught yet, so she might as well eat a little. She opened up her bundle of food and ate about half of the bread and cheese. Feeling better as the food hit her stomach, she put away her food and began to walk.
Damn, I wish I hadn't fainted last night; I would have been there by now! she said aloud
Well they probably aren't looking for you if you were able to sleep only two hours away, without being dragged back. A voice responded to her.
Or no one has noticed yet.
Reira was used to having random voices reply to her thoughts; voices only she could hear. Once when she was a child she told her friend about the voices, her friend thought she was crazy and never spoke to her again, since then she hadn't told a soul. But then she didn't care, the voices kept her sane. Well as sane as someone could be that heard voices in their head.
Smiling to herself, she ran until nightfall
Shortly after entering the Land of Fire, she approached a town, "Konoha" the sign said. It seemed like an alright place. She decided to live her new life here. Knowing that she had no money, she keep walking past the endless row of inns and into a park and found an old tree to sleep in the branches.
