Trinity shot at the agent, every bullet passing in yet nothing happening.

He rushed to get her back to life after she failed him.

One of the machines getting closer and closer to her strained body.

The flash in her her eyes as he saw her give her life up for his.

Again the pain of losing her. The flutter of Malie's eyelashes against

his chest made him wake up. Neo gazed at the ceiling felling his heart

ham against his ribs. Turning his head to the clock he grunted as he

saw it was only 5:00 a.m. Damn, he thought. He wanted to lay asleep

for another 3 hours or so but his mind lead him astray. He turned

slightly to gaze at Malie. She looked like and angel when she slept.

Come to think of it she always looked like an angel. Her long wavy

auburn hair was matted from the nights sleep. She had violet eyes

underneath the closed eyelids. After Trinity had passed away, he

had been too sad to even think of anyone else. Then Malie came along

with her kind heart and beautiful personality. He was in love again.

Yet this time he wasn't about to let anything happen to her. She was

so different from Trinity. So much alike. Trinity had a huge amount

of courage which had lead her to save him in so many physical ways.

Malie had saved him mentally and he had never been able to really thank

her. He had kept her so close to his heart the first few months,

yet each time he tried to let her in he couldn't. Even when he didn't

think that he would ever love someone else she came into his life.

Now 4 1/2 years after Trinity's death he had been able to drop his

cloak and give Malie his heart. Looking at her now, so fragile and

soft he wondered what would have become of her if Trinity wouldn't

have died. He had come to known Malie from one of the hospital wings

a month and a half after Trinity's death. She was a doctor who helped

the ones making the transition from matrix to real world. After the

Revolution many were still plugged into a semi-functioning martix.

She and hundreds of others slowly introduced people to what the

"Real World" was. He had seen her the day he was in for his regular

checkup. He had never seen her there which was a surprise since he

had known practically everyone in Zion. Seeing her that day had affected

him, yet after Trinity he was too pained to even take in her kind remarks.

She sensed his distant mind and sent him off. She lingered in his mind

the next few days until he went back to help again. This time he took

in everything. The way she moved over the patient with total grace and

poise. He had never seen anyone so beautiful in Zion. They talked for

a little while and laughed. She had the prettiest smile, the one that

shone on her face. He didn't know how but he ended going there everyday

for 5 months. By that time they had really gotten to know each other it

had been night. They decided to meet again. Then again. Until finally

it hit him, he was falling in love again. Her sweet smile had brought

him back to life again. Now looking out at the cold, sweet morning in Zion

he realized that his life was actually comming out of the cold and now, now

was the time for a change. A big change.
