"Hey Mr Edgeworth," Gumshoe hollered from across the coffee table. "I've been wondering all this time y'know. Why do you wear something so pink and feminine?"
"Ugh, please don't get me started," The prosecutor's eye twitched.
"You mean there's actually a reason for it?"
Edgeworth rolled his eyes and turned around in an attempt to avoid Gumshoe's question. "You don't want to get on my bad side. It's 7 in the morning and I am really not in the mood today."
"Aww, just tell me sir. I won't laugh or anything." He added an innocent chuckle at the end as Edgeworth sighed a deep regretting sigh.
"If it would please you." The prosecutor started. "Would you believe me if I told you my suit used to be white?"
"Whoa really?"
Some bad memories started replaying in Edgeworth's mind. "Ahem, yes mind you I am not a gay-enough-man to be wearing pink just because I want to." Some of the female workers peered into each others eyes and coughed awkwardly, causing Edgeworth to eye them suspiciously.
"I question that sir!" Gumshoe raised his hand proudly.
"What?!"
"Err…nothing. Never mind." Gumshoe scratched the side of his head bashfully and let his boss continue.
"Anyway, a certain idiot had to put his pink sweater in the same washing machine as my white suit, and the end result…" he pointed to his suit, "a bloody pink suit is what you get."
"A pink sweater?"
Edgeworth narrowed his eyes, rubbing his temples as he drank his coffee. "Oh god, I still remember that disgraceful pink sweater he had. With that horrible heart etched on it with the letter P... ugh, and to think his girlfriend made it for him." He scoffed at the end. "Can't believe he would even forget to separate the whites from the reds and pinks…I'm gonna have to make him do the dishes instead…"
"Err Edgeworth sir?" Gumshoe was dumbstruck. "W-who is this person you're talking about?"
The prosecutor seemed to have snapped out of his world and looked up. "Oh, err… nobody really. Anyway get back to work!"
The moron of a detective stood up straight and saluted his boss. "Yes sir!" and then left in a hurry. Admittedly in the back of his mind he knew who Edgeworth was talking about but didn't dare speak his name in front of him.
