INT. KITCHEN - NIGHT
HAYLEY walks into the kitchen. She is talking on her cellphone and in the other hand she is holding folders.
HAYLEY
I got the part Jules. The lead role. Sidney Prescott! I know right! I can so out act Neve Campbell. I mean I at least look the age of a highschooler. Ya, I know it's just a student production but it's work for my portfolio.
Hayley places the folders onto the counter.
HAYLEY
I find it really cool that they are making a Scream movie. I mean ya it's been done to death but they are making this one completely original. Anyways, I gotta go. Gotta get to memorizing my lines. Bye.
Hayley takes off her jacket and walks over to the fridge. She takes a can of coke and opens it. She takes a sip. Her cellphone rings. It says its Jules. She answers.
HAYLEY
Did you forget to tell me something?
VOICE
Hello Sidney.
HAYLEY
Haha, so funny Jules. Knowing I got the role of Sidney, and now you're trying to scare me pretending to be Ghostface.
VOICE
What's your favorite scary movie?
HAYLEY
Umm, well you should know. We watch it every Halloween.
VOICE
Well, this isn't Jules so I wouldn't know.
HAYLEY
Whatever. I will talk to you tomorrow.
Hayley hangs up and places the phone back onto the counter. She takes another sip of her pop. Her cellphone rings again.
HAYLEY
What now Jules?
VOICE
I told you, this isn't fucking Jules. Now tell me what is your favorite scary movie?
HAYLEY
Ugh it's Friday the 13th. The original. Happy now Jules?
VOICE
How is that coke you're drinking?
HAYLEY
How do you know I'm-Who is this?
Hayley runs over to the door and locks it.
VOICE
Wouldn't you like to know? I must say, congratulations on getting the lead role of Sidney Prescott. It's a major role, unfortunately for you it will be cut short.
HAYLEY
Listen, I'm gonna call the cops.
VOICE
If you call the cops I will slit your throat and the only roles you will ever get will be non speaking ones.
HAYLEY
What do you want?
VOICE
It's time for a reboot. Sidney Prescott may have been the survivor in all 4 Scream movies, but this is my movie, my script. And in my version Sidney Prescott dies first.
Hayley hangs up her phone, throws it on the counter and runs to the back door to lock it. She turns to run back to the counter where she left her phone and it is gone. The house phone rings.
HAYLEY
Stop it! Leave me the fuck alone!
Hayley sinks into the corner crying. The phone continues to ring.
HAYLEY
Stop it! Stop it!
The phone stops ringing. Hayley gets back up slowly and decides to make a run for the front door. As she runs down the hall Ghostface appears from around the corner and stabs her in the gut.
HAYLEY
No...please.
GHOSTFACE holds the knife into the air.
HAYLEY
Sidney is supposed to be the survivor. Please!
GHOSTFACE slashes.
FADE TO BLACK.
