"!!" Luffy screamed as he unleashed a devastating stretched punch at Whitebeard first division commander Marco. Marco easily dodged the fist as it went right through the ship's railing.

"What the hell was that?!" He yelled. "You expect to bring down an admiral with THAT?!!"

"GRRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!" Luffy leapt towards Marco and tried to deliver a kick to his face. But Marco quickly ducked, and transformed his feet into phoenix talons. Marco viciously kicked Luffy, sending him sprawling across the deck.

"Start fighting seriously, already!" Marco said. "You're being pathetic!"

"SHUT UP!!" Luffy yelled. "GOMU GOMU NO GATLING GUN!!" He ran up to Marco and fired barrage of punches so quick, it gave the illusion that Luffy had twenty arms.

Marco transformed into a full phoenix and tackled Luffy into the floor. He cried in pain as the flames burned his skin.

"I offer to train you until you reunite with your crew, and this is how you repay me?!" Marco yelled. "Ace would be laughing at you right now!"

"I know, I KNOW ALREADY!!" Luffy replied angrily as he got up.

"No, you don't! Because you're still not taking this seriously! Do you want to defeat Blackbeard?"

Luffy remembered how Blackbeard had captured Ace, setting into motion everything that had happened.

"YES!" Luffy yelled.

"Do want to defeat Akainu?" Marco asked.

Luffy remembered admiral Akainu as he delivered the fatal blow to his beloved brother.

"YES!"

"Do you want to avenge your brother?"

Luffy remembered Ace dying in his arms.

"YEEEEESSS!!"

"Then stop screaming your lungs out, and let out your anger on me!"

Luffy stretched his leg high in the air. "GOMU GOMU NO… ONO!!"

Marco quickly jumped back as Luffy brought down his foot on the deck. But then Marco saw Luffy's right arm stretched far behind him.

"GOMU GOMU NO BULLET!" Luffy snapped his fist back and punched Marco in the stomach. The phoenix man quickly recovered in midair and smiled.

"So you're finally serious?" Marco asked.

"Dumbass," Luffy smirked. "I'm always serious. I just realized I'm going to have to be a lot more so."

"Good. Now let's get started."

Luffy was finally at peace with Ace's death, because now he had a goal. He would defeat Blackbeard. He would defeat Akainu. He would avenge his big brother.

"But most of all," Luffy thought. "I'm going to become the Pirate King. Just like you wanted."
