Beck laughed when Tori said something about Jade that was fairly insulting. He didn't think it was such a big deal. Jade on the other hand was furious. She spilled a cup of ice water on Tori, glared at Beck and then stormed off.

"Okay WHAT was that about," Andre asked

Beck got up.

"I don't know," he said, "But I'm gonna go find out"

He followed her and finally found her in the janitor's closset.

"Whatyadoin'," he asked caustiously

"DON'T START," she said, "I'm pissed off right now"

"Why? Cause I laughed when Tori made that comment"

"No! You know what you did"

"Jade if I knew what I did I would not be asking what I did," he pointed out

"You really don't know what you did," she asked surprised

"No," he said, "Whatever it is I'm sorry but could you maybe tell me what I'm sorry about"

"BECK THREE DAYS AGO WHEN I MADE FUN OF TORI YOU FREAKEN TIMED ME OUT WITHOUT EVEN LETTING ME EXPLAIN BUT WHEN VEGA MAKES FUN OF ME YOU FREAKEN LAUGH ABOUT IT! HOW THE HELL DO YOU THINK THAT'S SUPPOSED TO FREAKEN MAKE ME FEEL? YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T LOVE ME ANYMORE AND THAT PISSES ME OFF"

"Jade," he said gently, "I-"

"And OH yeah what about that insensitive thing you said yesterday. I can NOT believe you said something like that. I'm not sure if someone knocked you upside the head with a two by four or what but after knowing what I've been through how could you say what you said yesterday"

"I forgot about that," he admitted, "Look I was angry. We were arguing"

"So. You still don't say what you said yesterday"

"Come on. It's not like you're the only one that had that comment made to them," he said

"I'm the only one who had that comment made to them when I'd been through what I went through," she said, "It's not just an annoyance anymore. It's… it's… it's-"

"Look," Beck said, "I'm sorry if I've been a little bit um…"

"Mean? The fact that you don't love me"

"Jade I do love you. I love you very much. But I don't like the way you act sometimes. I don't like the fact that you don't trust me-"

"Trust you? Beck I want to trust you. But I feel like you favor Vega. You got mad at me when I was mean to Tori and embarassed her and you were really cold about it. When you got mad at Tori it was a completed different storry after the fact," Jade said tears filling her eyes. The emotions of that day was flooding back to her and she was facing feelings she was trying to ignore for a long time. She couldn't ignore it anymore.

Beck sat down next to her.

"Jade," he said, "I never meant to make you feel like that. I didn't really take the time to see it from your point of view. I am sorry about that. But the point is that-"

"The point is that you were wrong. I KNOW I'm not perfect. I know I should be nicer to Vega but she starts with me too sometimes," Jade said, "and all you saw was what you saw. You didn't see what might or might not have gone on before did you"

"No," he admitted, "I didn't"

"So how am I supposed to trust you when you act like that?"

"I don't deserve to be trusted," he said honestly, "But if you could forgive me and give me one more chance I would appreciate it. Honestly I don't think I could live without you"

"Fine," she said, "But here's the deal. I will try to be a little easier on you. I expect you to stop favoring Vega over me. When I'm wrong you can let me know I'm wrong. But you are not to act like a cold fish after the fact. That is not okay. "

"I will," Beck said, "I'll never do anything like I did again. And I'll be fair from now on"

He kept his word.
