Ava slid down the wall, pain shooting through her body as her hand covered her bloody wound. Boyd kneeled at her side, looking at her with a look of pure panic. It was obvious that he was scared for Ava's life, she was loosing too much blood to keep living. Any human being who had eyes could see that.

"Ava, stay with me." Boyd said, shaking Ava as he notcied her eyes starting to slowly close. A soft noise escaped her lips and her eyes fluttered open. She was becoming too weak to stay awake, and if she drifted to sleep, she would probably die. Boyd knew that and he certainly didn't want that to happen. He didn't want to lose the love of his life over some gunshot wound. It wasn't worth it. "Baby, you have to stay awake, you can't sleep." He said softly, taking her hand in his. He inhaled sharply and shut his eyes, hoping that when he opened them, it would all go away. Sadly, that wasn't the case.

Boyd opened his eyes and glanced over at Ava, sighing as he saw she wasn't back to normal. "Dammit.." He cursed under his breath, squeezing her hand lightly. "Don't leave me."Ava whispered softly as she laid her head on his shoulder. Her eyes focused on a picture across the room, staring at it whilst taking in the colors. She figured setting her vision on something would keep her awake, but it wouldn't work forever. She'd get tired of looking at it soon. "I won't leave." Boyd said reassuringly, leaning down and kissing her forehead gently. He wasn't planning to leave unless he was given reason to. He just hoped nothing went wrong so he was forced to leave his wife's side.

"I love you, I hope you're aware of that." Boyd said, wrapping an arm around Ava's shoulders. "I always have loved you, ever since the first moment I laid eyes on you." A faint smile crossed over his lips as he let his mind travel back to that exact moment: the moment of when they first met. "I still remember it like it was yesterday. You wear walking down the sidewalk, wearing your designer dress. People kept staring at you, but you didn't let them phase you. Finally, you bumped into me, sending you backwards on the pavement." A smirk came over his lips after he had said the words. "I did that on purpose, y'know. I made it so you would bump into me." He nodded his head and looked down at her. She looked tired, but there was no way he was going to let her sleep. Not now, not until the ambulance arrived.

"I bet you didn't know that, huh?" Boyd asked, raising his brow. In his mind, if he heard her voice one last time, he knew everything would be okay. He knew Ava would live through the pain, then they're live a happy life together; with just the two of them. Once again, sadly, it didn't turn out as he planned.

Ava weakly shook her head in response to Ava. She tried to sit up to look directly at him, but she was too weak. The blood loss had gotten the best of her, she was stuck in the one position. "No, I di-" She cut off, letting her eyes flutter shut. She had finally gave into forever sleep. She was gone, and she certainly wasn't coming back. "Ava?" Boyd shouted, shaking her violently. It was useless, she wasn't responding. Her limbs flopped around as if she was being controlled by puppeteers.

Boyd took Ava's lifeless body into his arms and let the tears roll down his cheeks as he held her close. "You weren't supposed to go like this." He whispered, kissing the top of her head. She wasn't supposed to go at all, she was supposed to stay with him. It was selfish of him, but that's the way he wanted it. He never wanted to depart from Ava. "I love you." He whispered his final words, before sobbing out his pain. There was nothing he could do but sit there and greive over the one he loved. But in the future, he would get revenge, that was a promise.
