A/N: This was for a prompt from Alania Black.

I sort of tried a new style, like Francesca Lia Block, only not as good. I also sort of feel like maybe I read this somewhere, so if you recognize it, tell me and I'll delete it.

Disclaimer: I do not own Life With Derek, or any of it's affiliates.

Stress Relief

Casey is stressed. Really really, really really, reallyreallyreallyREALLY stresed.

Because, first of all, Derek was being a total ass this morning, taking forever in the shower, so that she had to rush and didn't have time to shave properly. Meaning that she couldn't wear her skirt that all of the guys like. Yes, she plays up to the guys. No, she dosen't think anyone notices. They do.

And then, there was a test in English, which she knows she passed, but she can't shake the worry that she just failed miserably. Like, in the 70s.And when she complains to Emily, her best friend, that she's really really stressed, and pissed that she's stressed because she knows she shouldn't be, Emily just gets pissed at her because she forgot there was a freaking test and was completely unprepared.

And then she gets to lunch, and she finds out that Aw crap, she has Derek's lunch. Shit. Because now she has to go up to him, and Sam, and Ralf, and all of their little hockey buddies, and tell him. And he'll make fun of her, and no matter how hard she tries that always gets to her, and then she'll make a fool of herself, and he'll call her a spazz, and then she'll have to go back to her seat and eat his lunch. Sometimes she thinks he plans these things.

And she had to ride home with him, and he was being a pig and a radio hog, and giving her hell, simply because she dosen't like his music, which is just annoying. Well, some. Some is good, but she can't let him know that, because then he'll know, which is not good.

And now that selfsame crap music is blaring through her wall, while she is trying to study for her test. And she has her soundproof headphones on, turned all the way up, and his music is still louder. And then she just snaps.

She's pushing herself out of her chair, and screaming his name so loud that he can definitely hear it through his wall and over his music. And she's storming out of her room, and bursting into his, and she's yanking his stereo out of his wall, and throwing it to the ground. And he jumps up, and she can tell he is PISSED, because his eyes are literally scorching her, which she used to think was just a metaphor but now knows can actually happen.

And suddenly she's just slightly scared, because he does play hockey, and is bigger than her, and could probably cause some serious bodily harm. So she starts screaming at him to bluff him out, and backing towards the door.

But apparently he's not having any of that, because he closes the door. And she pretends to not notice, still screaming about how she was trying to study, and his music was way too loud.

And then Derek smirks. And not in a I totally beat you way. Or in a damn she's hot way. Or in a I'm intentionally being patronizing but you don't need to know that way. either. No, this way is new. And scary. Thrilling, yes, but freaky as hell.

And Casey has her back to the door, and Derek is still coming closer, even though there is absolutely no more room. And now his body is pressed up against hers and even though her mind is going a million miles an hour, she still registers the thought that this feels really good. And so Casey stops talking, stops thinking, and just feels. Which is totally cliché, but oh well, it works.

And then Derek leans down, slowly, and just barely puts his lips to hers. And suddenly, all the stresses of the day, all of the little things that just kept building up, they release in this huge ball of energy, and she reaches up and pulls his head to hers, and then they're kissing, but it's more than she's ever felt when just kissing. And then Derek pins her to the door, and she wraps her legs around his waist, and they're trying desperately to get closer together than they already are, and they can't, but it still feels great, so they keep going until they're exhausted and can't even breathe anymore.

And then Derek pulls away, and he puts her down, and he smirks. And it's infuriating but cute at the same time. And then he asks her if she's feeling better?, and she wants to hit him and she wants to kiss him.

But instead, she smirks right back at him, and she turns, and she goes back to her room. But, for some strange reason, she just can't stop smirking.

A/N: That was strangely exhilarating. And it only took like . . . HOLY CRAP WAS THAT AN HOUR?! Felt like shorter. Like, a lot shorter.
