Summary-[Companian Piece to "The End", SasuHina Oneshot His face neared hers. "…Sakura-san will see." He followed her gaze to his wedding ring. "…I know." And he pressed his lips against hers.

Yesterday

She had known he was there, at her wedding. A shiver had run up her spine as she walked down the aisle.

She could feel his eyes on her.

When had this begun? It was addiction. An infatuation. A mistake. It had been innocent, the way she strolled leisurely along the streets, an out-of-shape wicker basket dangling from an arm.

And then he was there. He was seated on a bench, leaning back carelessly. It was a deserted and quiet afternoon, in the midst of holiday, when most would be with family.

The Uchiha was silent as he turned his head and met her eyes. Almost as if he had been in wait. For her? Maybe.

That night was clumsy, a tangle of limbs and heat, but it was unforgettable, amazing. It had been her first time, after all.

So she sat down next to him, her basket of groceries sitting on her lap. He parted his lips, and murmured a "Hi," unknowingly twitching his hand.

"How are you…Uchiha-san?" The formal name left a bitter taste on her lips, unable to forget how the word Sasuke had felt rolling off her tongue.

He showed no reaction to the unfamiliar greeting, but turned away. "…I've been fine." An automatic answer.

No, you haven't. There might have been a time where she would have said that, but today was no longer the same as before. Instead, she looked at the ground, feeling foolish and wondering why she had sat down. What had she been hoping for?

"Where is Neji?"

Her eyes lifted. "…he is busy." It required no further explanation. As a Hyuuga of high stature and a devoted ANBU captain, there was no time to indulge in holiday. There was simply no time for anything anymore. "And where is Sakura-san?"

"At home."

Then why are you here? Her heart skipped a beat.

"I don't know why," his voice dropped low, quiet, as if answering the unvoiced question. "I was wondering if you'd pass by. And you did." He faced her now, onyx eyes against pearl orbs.

"…what did you want?" She whispered.

He turned away again. "I don't know."

She felt her heart ache. She stood up slowly, and took a testy step. Just as she lifted her sandal to leave, his hand reached up to grab her wrist tightly. They looked at each other now, unmoving for the smallest moment.

Why?"…I don't want to lose you." He whispered.

His face neared hers, her lavender scent against his musky cologne. Hinata reminded herself that they were still in broad daylight, despite the false security of silence.

"…Sakura-san will see," she breathed. He followed her gaze to his wedding ring, and he in turn glanced at the silver band circling her ring finger.

"…I know." And he pressed his lips against hers.

A/N: I left "The End" feeling rather embarrassed about the shabby work; I was still rather fond of the plot line, so I decided to make a short sequel to follow up.

I really wonder if I will make a final third part to round things up…but this ending right now leaves much to the readers' imagination, which may or may not be a good thing.

I think there's a really big possibility that I will make one more installment to this one-shot, but first I have to finish the ever awaited "What You Don't Know" haha.

See you guys next update (which will hopefully be soon) xD Thank you guys for all the great reviews! I love to read all of your responses.
