Once in little Godric's Hollow
Stood a quaint family abode,
Where a mother laid her Baby,
And onto him her love bestowed:
Lilly was that mother mild,
Harry Potter, her little Child.
He was sent to be our saviour,
The chosen one out of them all,
Love was given as his gift,
To save us all from the fall:
With us at Hogwarts he did learn,
Until the dark tide did turn.
A babe so young in devastation left;
But saved us all from hell on Earth;
Yet for so long he did not know,
How we all did praise his birth;
Praised and adored so far and wide,
As he breached the gap in the divide.
Eleven years passed till again we saw Him,
Long awaited return to our world.
For that Child then so meek and humble,
A whole new life was unfurled.
Seven years of toil and strife
To give us all this better life.
