That had been the scariest thing Husky had ever seen. Senri, calm, reserved, caring Senri losing control like that. It scared him. Husky could never describe the feelings that coursed through him as Senri said his name, touching Cooro's knee as if to assure himself that it was really the bird boy sitting atop his shoulders. Husky and Nana stood there, surprised, unsure, relieved, until the bear, the +Anima, their friend, drew them into a hug. His bare chest smelled of blood and sweat and honey. And sadness. Husky knew Senri felt horrible about losing control, and for this reason, he didn't protest in the slightest at the hug. Senri needed this. They all needed this. Husky slowly wrapped his arms around Senri's waist, and he could feel Nana copying him. They were all connected, and Husky had never felt so safe, so happy, so loved. Senri was grasping one of Cooro's feathers in one hand, and using the other to hold them close. Husky felt something drip onto his head, and he pretended not to notice. He looked up to see Cooro with a tiny smile on his face, his wings out, and his chin on Senri's head. They were together. Now that they knew, they could protect each other even better. They were four +Anima, homeless but not hopeless. Who could be hopeless with Cooro around? They were together. They were family.
