If you like this, please check out "Gohan's Readings". That is the first part of my trilogy and it IS complete; probably much better than this one too :P
Enjoy! :)
Krillin was very concentrated, very tense, and very alert. His eyes fell across the broad flat sea as he stood, knee-deep, in his usual battle stance. "One more time," he said aloud, breathing in and out. Then in a flash, his hands flew into position, around the side of his back. "Ka…Me…" he powered up. Water began to tremble around him. "…Ha…Me…" more water trembled until it broke, the circle around Krillin very deep. "Ha!" He let go a blast of water out into the sea. The yellow-white light soared off into the distance, disappearing. Krillin smirked.
"Good job, Krillin. With any luck, you'll be as strong as me one day," Master Rioshi chuckled from his lounge chair. He had been reading a magazine with his usual sunglasses on.
Krillin narrowed his eyes, a flat line serving as his mouth. His hands were on his hips, "Like you'll be much stronger sitting in that chair all day."
Master Rioshi looked up, over his glasses. "What was that?"
"What? I didn't say anything," Krillin put his hands up, acting innocent.
"Hm. I'm going inside," Krillin's old mentor stood up in his lounging clothes. "Gettin' too hot out here for me anyways. You comin' Krillin?"
"Naw, I'm going to stay out here and train some more," Krillin walked out of the water.
"Uh, okay. Just give me a shout if you need a break." With all his stuff in his hands, Master Rioshi walked inside.
Krillin slumped down in the sand. "You can't be so judgmental of people, Krillin. That's why you could never fly Goku's nimbus. You're not all the way good, like him or Gohan."
He sighed, flopping onto his back in the sand. He watched the clouds float by up in the sky. "Then again, I'm not all the way Saiyan either. Not even half, like Gohan."
He watched more particular cloud go by, that looked a lot like the young half-saiyan now. The cloud suddenly became grey. Krillin squinted. No, the cloud wasn't grey-there was a shadow on it. Exactly like it though? That could only mean…
Sure enough, Gohan's energy came into Krillin's range just then, letting him know exactly who he was. "Wow, he's become a lot stronger in just two years," Krillin stood up, dusting himself off a little bit but not tearing his eyes away from the sky. "A guy could only wonder how strong he'll be after three years."
But the person which held Gohan's energy was not Gohan; as he approached Krillin this much became clear. Instead, a man of about his own age came into sight with a sword across his back; just like Trunks. But the man's hair was black and thick like Goku's. And his clothing still looked a heck of a lot like Piccolo's.
Krillin watched as the man touched down before him. Then the man broke out into a goofy grin and laughed. Krillin could recognize that grin and laugh from anywhere. "Gohan?" he asked, really confused.
Gohan grinned. "Yeah it's me, Krillin it's great to see you again."
Krillin stood there awkwardly as he was hugged by the apparent Gohan. "Uh, how is this possible?
