I wrote this after rewatching Bad Wolf and rolling my eyes at how OOC Rusty made the Daleks by not doing this. Drabble of 100 words, including the title.
What Should Have Been
There was something so off about this whole situation. The Daleks, as out of character as they were being, (though they were smart enough to use this as a diversion and will eventually kill them all anyway) were keeping Rose alive, because they wanted to negotiate something with him.
Well to hell with that!
"No!" he stated, strong, clear and proud.
The Daleks were quiet for a few seconds, while Rose looked at him, in shock.
Then it happened. The Dalek doing the talking turned its gun on Rose and killed her.
Never trust a Dalek.
