She lays there in his arms. It was all surreal to her. They wished so hard that they were able to let go of each other, move on, but it was difficult. He looks at her admiringly, kissing her against her cheek. Gayle smiles, waiting for more.

"I've never been able to stop thinking about you," she says, smiling. He nods, returning the smile.

"Same here." He leans in, pressing his lips against her, kissing her against the small of her back, moving his way up against the indentation of her spine. Mitch continues this act, making his way up towards the nape of her neck. Kissing her against her neck, he listens to her moan softly, smiling.

He wraps his arms around her, holding her.

"You know we had something great, didn't we?"

She bites her lip, smiling. "We sure did..."

Every time she was in thought, it always flashed back. The memories of their past frequently clouded her mind.

The birth of their son, their most intimate moments together, the night they first met…everything. She couldn't help to begin crying at the thought of all these memories. Memories she and Mitch shared.

"Mitch, we need to resolve our feelings for each other."

He nods, "I agree. It's either we get back together, or we just live life as friends." She sighs, and nuzzles against him.

"Why must this be so hard?"

Tears are streaming down her cheek. She presses her face against his bare chest, and he comforts her.

"I guess that's what they mean when they say breaking up is hard to do."

Gayle looks up at him, smiling. "I agree with that statement."
