Separation and comfort
Harm was standing outside the door of their bedroom looking in at Mac and their twin boys, Matt and Ben. The boys had been sleeping in Mac and Harm's bedroom since their birth, but now that they had become older it was time to let them sleep in their own room. Harm had come home from his walk with their dog Assassin and went to look for his wife. He had heard her voice from their bedroom and was on his way to walk in there when he herd her talking to the twins.
"You know guys, it's time for you two to sleep in your own room now. And I know it might be scary at first, but if you get scared you'll have each other. I wish you guys didn't have to stay in your own room, because I have some separation anxiety. But I also know that you guys are half Marines, so you'll be fine. And I am a Marine, so I'll just have to suck it up. Your dad on the other hand, probably won't manage to suck it up though. He's a squid, they tend to be a little soft. But I'll comfort him, so you don't have to worry about him. Actually now that we'll be alone in here, I can really comfort him," she chuckled a little. "But that's not something you need to know about until you're older."
Harm had to laugh out loud, which made Mac turn to where he was standing.
"How long have you been standing there?" She glared at him.
"So you think I'm soft huh?" Harm ignored her question and tried to look offended.
"You weren't supposed to hear that. We were just talking about them moving out." She looked towards where Ben and Matt lay on the bed eyeing them curiously.
"I heard, you were about to kick it up to NC-17. I think maybe they are too young for that baby." He sat down on the bed beside his wife. "Are you sure they should have their own room, Mac? They are only six months old."
Mac turned toward him and took his hands. "Honey, it's time. It's going to be okay."
Harm looked at her with a sceptic look on his face.
"And just think about all the different ways I'll be able to comfort you when we are all alone." As she spoke she moved her mouth towards his ear and ran her hand down his chest. She ended the sentence with a bite to his ear.
"When you put it that way..." He kissed her and lay her down on the bed under him.
Mac broke the kiss and looked up and into his eyes. "I knew I could make you see it my way."
"Well you made a good closing argument." He kissed her again, but released her when both their boys started to squirm beside them on the bed.
"Hey you guys, are you ready to sleep in your own room?" Harm sat up and looked at them.
Both their boys smiled at him, and squirmed some more. Harm kissed them both on their foreheads. "Okay kids, time to go to sleep." He picked up Ben and waited for Mac to take Matt. Together they walked to the room across the hall and put the twins down in their beds. They stood by to watch them as they fell asleep.
"I think they will be fine baby." Harm put his arms around his wife.
"So you'll be fine? No need to comfort you." Mac started to kiss his neck.
"Oh I'll need comfort, and lots and lots of it." He lifted Mac up into his arms and carried her to their room and lay her down on the bed where he proceeded to show her how much he loved her.
A while later they lay across their bed, both breathing hard. Harm lay his hand on Mac's flat muscular belly and turned towards her.
"Wow, that was some comforting baby." He started to kiss her neck.
"Well, I don't do anything half way." She moved her head so he would have better access to her neck.
"That's for sure." He stopped his kissing and put his forehead against hers. "I love you."
"I love you too." Her eyes were filled with love, before it changed and she got a teasing look on her face. "Ready for round two?"
He laughed. "Just say the words." Then he kissed her deeply and proceeded with round two.
The End.
