All Grown Up: Friday 13th

It is a bright morning is May. The weather is warm and there is much sun.

Tommy's alarm clock rings.

''Tommy, are you done packing your books?'' says Didi downstairs.

''I'm still working at it.''

''And have you discarded that waste from yesterday?''

''Er, I think so!''

Tommy walks out of his room and knocks on the door on Dil's one.

His books fall out of his bag.

''Mum, my bag is broken. There's a hole in it!''

''Pick up Dil's bag. He has two!''

''No, that bag is just as stupid as he is. I'll take another bag''

Tommy is walking to the stairs, but then stumbles over a banana peel that was lying on the stair.

''Ouch, that thing will have fall out of my bag yesterday!''

''Are you all right, Tommy?''

''Yes, it only hurts my arm. I'm riding along Chuckie to cycle to school together.''

Tommy is leaving home.

After breakfast Chuckie take his bike and go to school. Kimi isn't, zij because she has to go to the dentist first. She calls Lil to tell her she's not going to cycle with her to school. Phil, Dicky and Tommy are leaving Chuckie's house and go to school. Lil will leave later. She wasn't alert, because she didn't saw that car on the right and …

At school, Tommy and Phil are sitting next to each other. The teacher is checking who is in class and who isn't.

''Tommy Pickels,'' she starts.

''Yes, miss.''

''Phil DeVille''

''Over here.''

''Lil DiVille. Lil? Well, she's not present yet.''

''Phil, is Lil skipping class?'' asks Tommy.

''I'don't know. Maybe she leaves home to late. Or she is waiting for Kimi?''

''She is at the dentist. It's obvious that she's not here.''

''Maybe her bike is broken or …''

Then they hear the intercom. It is the director speaking. ''Please come to my office: Phil DeVille, Kimi and Chuckie Finster and Tommy and Dil Pickles. Right now!''

Phil, Tommy, Chuckie, Dil and Kimi (who's arrived) are walking to director Pangborn's office.

''COME IN!'' he screams.

'' Sir, why do we have to come?'' asks Tommy.

''I just got called from the hospital. On her way to school, Lil got hit by a car. But she is fine. If you guys want to, you can go to the hospital to visit her.''

Then, silence!
