"I'll see you when I'm back."

Sakura slammed her front door shut. Not again, definitely not. She wouldn't let it happen.
She walked down the long road of Konoha's main street. The sky black and scattered with stars above her. The moonlight shined on her face, her footsteps echoing as she trudged towards the forest.
The familiar chakra stopped moving.
She raced ahead to the front of the forest.
The figure turned and stepped towards her, his face now visible, in the moonlight.
Sasuke.
Emerald orbs met with onyx ones.
"Sakura."
Why Sasuke, why?
Unspoken words filled the air with tension.
"I was hoping Naruto didn't tell you."
"What you hoped is different to reality, Sasuke. "
A smirk graced his handsome features.
"And what you do cannot stop me."
"Can't it?"
Sasuke sighed. A gesture rarely shown on is stoic face.
"Sakura, just let me go. This is impotant."
Sakura bit her lip and said " So are you, to me."
Silence.
"I know, Sakura."
"As you are also important to me." Sasuke said.
Sakura looked up, shock on her face.
"I won't be gone forever" he continued. " Just a few short years. It'll be like I was never gone."
Dammit, Sasuke. A few short years?!
Tears rolled freely down her cheeks, but she made no move to stop them.
"W-Why do y-you have to l-leave m-me? A-Again? "
Sasuke put his hands on her shoulders.
"You are stronger than this, Sakura. You don't deserve to cry over someone, like me."
" I have treated you horribly in our genin days. Yet you still care, for me, even love someone who treated you like you were useless.
" I know you've changed, Sakura. That is why I want you to be strong. Show all of them that. The whole Konoha 11. Show them you are strong."
"B-But I-"
"Sakura enough of this! Stop crying show me you are strong."
Sasuke wiped away her tears with his finger and used it to push her chin up.
"Take that bit of advice with you okay? While I'm gone."
Sakura nodded.
"Keep faith that I will come home. Be strong. Don't cry over me. You know I will be back."
She nodded again.
"Then why are you still here? Get going Sakura. You'll need some sleep.
"I'll remember what you said, Sasuke. To be strong."
"I hope you will, Sakura."
Sakura, looked at him, her eyes full of hope and determination. " Good Bye, Sasuke."
"To you too, Sakura."
She turned her back to leave when she heard his voice again.
"I'll see you, when I'm back."
And he poked her forehead, an action Itachi once did to him.
Then he was gone.
Sakura smiled and rubbed the place he had poked her.
"I'll see you, Sasuke, when you're back."
She started walking back home, Sasuke's words still lingering in her mind.
Be strong, Sakura.
Show them what you're made of.
