This is a random oneshot I wrote a long time ago with not much effort put in to it; but I never thought of uploading it because this is kinda stupid if you ask me. But now, a few months later, I decided to do it anyway.
I don't own the Law of Ueki.
Murderer
Ai Mori stared down at the floor, trembling all over. Red liquid trickled down her arm to the floor, and was eventually mixed with her tears.
A figure approached her from behind. Mori dared not face it.
"Murderer."
The word penetrated her like a dagger.
"You murderer," Hideyoshi growled, venomously.
Mori did not reply.
"You loved him.... And yet, you killed him."
Silence.
"He was always selfless, always ready to risk his life. He was a great guy. Everyone loved him. WHY," Hideyoshi edged closer, tears forming in his eyes as well, "did you kill him?"
Mori picked up the remains of the victim. She was shaking more than ever. Emotions gathered up inside her. Fear, that more people would realize what she had done. And heart-break, after losing her loved one to herself.
"Say something!" Hideyoshi snarled, softer than he had intended to. "Why did you kill him?"
"I – I...." Mori stammered, more tears streaming down her red cheeks. She bowed her head. "This wasn't supposed to happen."
"Don't deny it," Hideyoshi said. "You intended to kill him from the start. Didn't you?!"
....
"Well, didn't you?!"
"N – No!" Mori choked out. "I loved him more than you ever did!"
The girl turned her attention back to the victim. "I'm sorry...."
The door creaked.
"I'm so sorry...."
"Guys, I'm back!"
"I'm sorry!!!!"
Ueki jumped upon hearing the scream. Then, he saw the sight before him, and stared in astonishment. Mori and Hideyoshi were crying as if someone had died, and in front of them was a jar broken into pieces and strawberry jam all over the floor.
"Um.... guys?"
"He was still so young.... it just came home from the grocery store three days ago," Hideyoshi mourned.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Mori howled to the pieces of the jar, scattered all over the floor. "It's my fault! I wasn't careful enough!"
"Uh.... guys...."
"He was such a good person, delighting everyone with his sweet, sweet flavour." Hideyoshi mumbled, tears beginning to stream down his face as well. Mori continued sobbing uncontrollably.
Ueki dashed up to them and patted their backs, comfortingly. "Cheer up guys, he lived a good life. I'll go dig up a grave for him."
He grabbed a shovel from the supply closet. After glancing at the two again, mourning for the lost of the delicious food product, he shook his head and headed outside.
