"What a rush, eh Kiara?" Freddy said flipping his bright red hair out of his eyes as he took a deep drag of a cigarette. "God I've missed these.."
"Shut up, it's only been a night" I said crossing my arms over my shivering frame.
"Anyway where's Mikey and Violet?" I asked squinting through the forest to see if I could see the familiar faces of my friends, or even the wolf faces with my heightened eye sight.
"They're coming, I've been waiting an hour or so for you to change" Freddy responded dropping the cigarette and crushing it with the heel of his boot.
"Ugggghhhh" I said stomping up the steps and onto the porch of the pack's "temporary" house.
"Where'd you put their clothes?" I asked knowing how self-conscious Violet was when she changed back naked. I know she'd be mortified if she couldn't find them.
"Uh the big pine tree by the lake" He said. I noticed he'd already replaced the diamond stud in his ear.
"I nodded my approval and walked into the house , where I was greeted by the warm fire that Freddy must have started. I was used to this, it was sort of a routine now, Freddy changing first in the morning and getting everything ready for the rest of us. It happened every night each month like clockwork.
The changing the feeling of being uncontrolled and animalistic the pack dreaded it unlike most of our kind.
There aren't many of us left thanks to the vampires, which is quite possibly the reason why werewolves like Jack try to fix the problem.
Jack was a rogue he liked living alone, fending for himself, looking out for number one.
He did however make a lot more like him. There were no patterns in the people he picked and the people he killed. I guess if you looked at the bright side me, Freddy, Mikey, and Vi were some of the lucky ones, trust me we often don't feel like we're lucky.
Freddy was bitten on a hunting trip up in the mountains of Pennsylvania. Mikey was looking for his lost dog in the woods and Violet was on a trip with her wealthy family up in the Poconos.
They all had happy lives and they all lost them just because of Jack. Me well I didn't have much to lose, but that's a story I try to block out.
The worst part wasn't the fact that Jack changed us though, it was the fact that he left us. He left all of us bleeding and wishing he had killed us.
I looked at my reflection in the mirror, it was the same as before the full moon. I looked tired gray bags underneath my eyes and my face was flushed from the cold. I didn't look different though… the problem is I'll never look different. My face, my body, everything was the same as when I changed 7 years ago. I was stuck at age 16 forever.
Oooooo what are they? Sorry its short it's just the pologue anyway tell me if you like it hate it whatever.
