"Penny! Penny wait!" Leonard screamed, running up the stairs with some new found strength.

"No! You hurt me! Don't you know that I-I." She turned around to face the door to Amy's apartment. "I can't deal with you anymore."

With that, she slammed close the door to Amy's apartment. Leonard slammed on the door.

"Amy! Amy let me in. DAMMIT AMY!" Leonard screamed. There were footsteps being heard coming to the door. Amy opened the door a crack and walked through. She then procceded to close the door and lock it.

"I'm not letting you in. Mind filling me in on why that beautiful blonde is crying on my sofa?" Amy asked. Leonard sank down into the floor.

"Good morning, Dr. Cooper. Is Dr. Hofstader in?" A young lady from the university asked Sheldon. Sheldon smiled at her.

"Well hello Jessica. It's good to see you again. Yes, Leonard is in. LEONARD!" Sheldon yelled. Jessica smiled and sat on the couch.

"That's my spot." Sheldon said. Jessica moved over. Leonard walked out of his bedroom.

"Oh. Good morning, Jess. What are you doing here?" Leonard asked. He poured two cups of coffee. One for the girl and one for him. Jessica gladly accepted one.

"Well I'm going to start working with you in the experimental physics department. I was thinking later maybe we could go to dinner to talk about your work." Jessica said. Leonard smiled.

"Of course." He said.

"Alright. I'll swing by at about seven o'clock." Jessica said. She put down her cup of coffee and walked out the door.

"Hi. You here to see Sheldon?" Penny asked Jessica on her way down to the laundry room.

"No, Leonard. We're having dinner later." Jessica said. She skipped down the stairs happily.

"Penny, can you lock up?" Poppy, Penny's boss, asked.

"Yeah." Penny said. Poppy tossed the keys to Penny. Penny washed down the counter and then walked to the door. She locked the door and started walking. The streets of California were lit up well by the passing shops. She passed by a small sushi restraunt. As she looked in the window, she saw that Jessica girl who she passed earlier kissing Leonard. Tears swelled up in her eyes. Leonard looked out the window and saw Penny crying. She started running and Leonard ran after her.

"Penny! Penny wait!" Leonard said, running up the stairs with a new found strength.

"Why the hell did you kiss her?" Amy asked. Leonard slammed his fist into the ground.

"I didn't! She kissed me." Leonard said. Amy scoffed.

"That's the oldest excuse in the book, Leonard. You really think she's going to fall for that?" She asked.

"Whatever. Just, give Penny this." Leonard said. He took his airplane necklace off, the one he never takes off, and handed it to Amy. Amy nodded. She walked into her apartment. Penny walked to the front door. Her hair was messy and her eyes were red and puffy from crying. She was wearing the necklace. She wordlessly fell into Leonard's open arms.

"You idot, you're lucky I love you." She said.
