Devil in Red!

I am a normal teenager living my life in 1920's England. A beginning of a new decade, Mother has let me out tonight I should be looking after my Grandfather, but since it's new year's eve she says I can out with my friends. So here we are standing outside a new club that has just opened. We must be mad. We're not old enough to get in here but of course Tom wants to try. He said to me early today when I was telling him he was mad after he told me about the plan; he said "you only live once grab it while you still can!"
If only he could see himself right now arguing with the man at the door. The door man new straight away we were not above the age of 18, I think my best friend lily gave it away she still looks twelve. I don't mind looking after my grandfather, but I do miss my friends. Lily and I were never apart at one stage but that was before grandfather became ill and needed somebody to look after him. We still talk me a Lilly but it is hard because I have no idea sometimes what she is going on about, like when she told me about this club. Sometimes it doesn't feel like a new decade has just begun but it has a I hoped my life would of change with it out with the old decade in with the new me, I'm a 16 year old girl why should I not have fun. So anyway we were all turned down at the door and we didn't know where to go after woods so we ended up just sitting in the park remembering old times. The hours pasted quickly far too quickly for my taste I wished it passed slower I never get to go out with my mates.
