The lost history of Egypt poem

The lost history of Egypt poem

In the land of desert, pyramids and gods

Were the river once a year runs red like blood

Long a go when this land was young

There stems a strange tale

When the brightest star sinks below the sands

That's when the monsters came

They ravaged the land till the stars return

And the river runs red like blood

They laded siege to the land

No one was safe from the creatures attack

The nobles and peasants alike

But the pharaoh's young son and six priests still lived

Out of the runes they stumbled

Before then stood the monsters

The priests shrank back but the boy stood firm

To the creatures this is what he said

You have ravaged our lands since before my time

Leaving only destruction and death in your wake

But that was then and this is now

For I an now in control

His eyes sharpened becoming icy cold and his voice fiercer

Ra's mark shown on his forehead

Never again will you roam our world free

A bright flash came before their eyes

The monsters were no more

Trapped in the stone beneath their feet

Before the stood the boy now pharaoh

In the twilight the brightest star shown

And the river ran red like blood
