A/N: Gasp! A drabble. Hmmm. Diferente. Anyway, this was inspired by the bathroom scene in 'The Pain in the Heart'. When he stood up and said, "I took a bullet for you!" I took that to mean that's how much he cared for her. This is Booth, thinking about that. =]
"I took a bullet for you!"
How could she think I didn't care about her? I was shot so it didn't have to me kneeling over her, feeling her blood between my fingers. Dear God, I hurt after that, and I couldn't let that sort of thing happen to her.
I took that bullet because I love her. I love her so much I'd jump in front of her, almost die for her. She says one bullet only goes so far. Then what would it take? I'd do whatever she wanted.
She didn't get it, did she?
"I took a bullet for you!"
