Hey guys! First of all, English is not my first language, so please forgive me if there's something wrong with orthography or grammar, if so, tell me and I will change it immediately! This is my first time witting a story in English and I'm not that confident about it, but I really wanted to write this...
I had this idea since I watched Under the same moon, that is a Mexican-American movie, if you haven't seen it, you should, it's pretty good!
Well... UsUk is not my favorite pairing, but I couldn't write it with any other pairing, it had to be them or nothing! I hope you enjoy this bad-written-story and forgive me for my really bad English haha.
I'll be writing this in Spanish tho.
I don't own Hetalia.
It was really late. One in the morning and Alfred wasn't coming home yet. Arthur stroked his tummy, singing a lullaby to his baby, hoping that Alfred would be coming back soon enough to see his baby born.
The war took them by surprise, and Alfred was recruited to form part of the army. He hadn't had a choice.
He really hoped the peace, he missed it, as he never thought he would miss it. He wanted Alfred to dine with him, to cuddle in a cold night, to sing lullabies to their unborn baby. But no, Alfred, as an alpha, had to fight, to gain peace again not only for them but the country too.
The news never informed what he wanted to hear the most: the ending of the war.
He had been pregnant for eight months, being alone since the third month.
He sighed when he finished the lullaby.
The hope of seeing Alfred again had never abandoned his mind, and every day he stared at the window, waiting for him to come home, until his eyes couldn't more. He always fell asleep and woke up again the next morning, in his bedroom. He was sure that Matthew always carried him back, because before Alfred left, he asked to his beta brother, Matthew, to look after Arthur.
He, being an omega, couldn't complain.
That night he hoped to see his silhouette closer and closer. He walked towards the window, sitting down on a sofa he had there, where he always sat to drink his tea before.
He looked outside the window, there was a full moon and then, he remembered what Alfred told him before leave.
"Whenever you feel alone, look at the moon, because it doesn't matter how far away from each other we are, we're still under the same sky, looking at the same moon"
His eyes started to close, and then he remembered nothing.
The next morning, he woke up in his bedroom again and as if this was a routine, he was the only one there. He sighed, knowing he was still all alone, but this time, something was different.
He heard someone downstairs. He got up and walked, trying to be quiet. He walked downstairs and knew someone was in the kitchen. He took something random, ready if there was a robber, but when he finally opened the door, the only robber there was, was the one that had stolen his heart.
There was Alfred, still dressed with his military uniform, his riffle and a big bag with unknown things inside it.
He smiled and walked towards him, being afraid if it was a dream, but when he hugged him and smelled his scent, he knew it was real and Alfred was back home, with him and he was no longer alone.
''I told you I would be back, didn't I? '' Alfred kissed his cheek and left his things on the table.
Arthur smiled and nodded.
''I kept looking at the moon every night, I always knew you would come back…''
''Because it doesn't matter how far away from each other we are…''
''We're still under the same sky, looking at the same moon'' The said together, Alfred stroking Arthur's tummy and then, they kissed for the first time in forever.
The war had ended, but their love was still there.
