Nostalgia

Summary: Watching Kagami & Seirin play basketball, Kuroko can't help but feel nostalgia.

Kuroko stared, unmoving as he watched the high school teams play fiercely against one another. But more specifically, he watched the team dressed in white, red & black basketball uniforms with their bench members cheering and calling out encouragements.
He watched as one of their players scored a basket, cheering in delight and receiving grins and pats on the back from his team mates, whilst their bench players watched on smiling.
He watched as they all passed to each other, using team work and tactics.
He watched as every player gave their all into their plays, never playing without effort.

"They look like … such a good team." He heard his team's manager murmur, standing next to him, a small smile on her face.
"… Yes. They're putting their all into the game, and most likely, they love basketball." Kuroko replied quietly, never taking his eyes away from the match.
The team's love for basketball was clear, no matter what. Even a blind person could simply tell from the aura emitted by the basketball team.
That passion, he could feel just from watching the other team, felt so nostalgic. He briefly wondered when he had last felt that feeling with his teammates in a game.

"I'm … envious."

Before he could let himself think on the matter any further, he turned away to leave.
Before he left, he could hear the cheers of the team as another point was scored.

Kuroko watched as the giant American returnee scored yet another dunk against him, an annoyed look slowly growing on the redhead's face.

The redhead, Kagami Taiga, still held a fierce fire in his eyes, blazing with passion for this sport. Even though that fire had dimmed a bit playing against him, it was still there, and after reading people for so long, Kuroko had been able to notice the small quirks of the redhead's mouth that hinted at smirks.
Seeing the back of his classmate, it reminded him of his past Light so much, but this time, the back of this person wasn't facing him because he no longer wanted to receive a pass.

The fire in the redhead's eyes felt so nostalgic, it bit at Kuroko's skin, like a cold blanket he hadn't used for a long time.

"Nice pass!"

Kuroko blinked in surprise, receiving multiple pats on the back from his team mates and watching their grins stay on their faces with determined eyes.

He blinked again, noticing the large fist of his new Light held out to him.

"Keep it up!" Kagami grinned at him, still with his fist held out, waiting for the tap that had been first done to him by his Shadow.

Kuroko let out a small smile and returned the first bump. "Right."

He'd been thinking over his past so much, he'd almost forgotten that he was now on a team.

A team where there was teamwork.

A team where there were constantly smiles.

A team where everyone always gave their all.

A team where everyone passed to each other.

He smiled again slightly.

This was the nostalgic feeling he missed.

So I tried a KnB oneshot... This is kind of what I thought Kuroko would think about, when he first joined Seirin and became partners with Kagami.

If you have any advice on how I could improve this, please review so I can know! Thank you for reading!
