WOW.
As I sit here on the steps of the Cullen house, it hits me.
Their gone. Everybody. Carlisle, Jasper, even my frenemie Rosalie.
It's all I can do not to cry.
Why did they leave?
"Angel," A voice from behind me said.
"What is it!" I snapped.
Turning around, I saw it was Bella.
"Oh, I'm sorry, love. It's just, you know."
"I know. Oh god!"
We flung ourselves at each other and began sobbing, with no sign of stopping.
As we sobbed, I remembered just yesterday, the last time I saw Carlisle.

"Angel, this isn't right! Your not supposed to love me!" Carlisle said, turning away from me.
"Well I do." I said simply, putting my hand on his shoulder.
He whipped around.
"Don't you get it? I am a monster!" He banged his hand on his desk for emphasis.
"Carlisle, wh- what are you getting at?" I asked.
Carlisle took a deep breath and began to talk.
"Angel, my love, it's not safe for you to be around me. I might not have fed, and, who knows." He said.
The silence was deafening as I took that in.
"I don't care." I said as I pressed my lips to his for what I thought was the last time.

"I can't believe it." Bella finally says after roughly ten minutes of full on sobbing.
"I know. It's like a bad dream." I said, wiping away some of her tears with my sleeve.
She returned the favor.
"But, why?" I wondered, looking at the house.
It had an empty and alone feel.
I looked towards the window.
Carlisle's office window.
"I- I need to see." I said to Bella.
"Wh- Angel, are you crazy! The doors are locked and the windows are boarded up! How are we supposed to get in there? Fly?" She said sarcastically.
"Oh, shut up." I said, then went to work.
I went to the nearest window, and did my best to rip off the haphazardly nailed on board.
It gave way with a little bit off pressure.
"See? Almost done." I said. "Hand me that huge rock right there."
Bella did as she was told.
After a few whacks, the window was finally opened, big enough for me to get through.
"Do you want to go in?" I asked her.
"Su- Sure." Bella said.
"Let me get in first. You'll need help." I said before warily climbing in through the window.
Only a few cuts.
Then, I gently helped Bella through the window, who still got a heck of a lot more cuts then me.
"Alright. I'll be in Carlisle's office. Meet me here." I said before flying up the stairs.
Thirteen seconds later, I was stopped at the door.
It was unlocked.
What a shock.
Slowly but surely, I made my way in.
Everything was still there. The chair, the desk, bookshelves. I ran my hand along the desk.
"Goodbye, Carlisle. Look after my heart, since you stole it from me."
