I drove the RV toward the destination –A had sent for me. I felt tears well up in my eyes, but I did not let them fall. I sighed, and brought my phone into my hand. I shifted my phone in my hand, and looked at the –A message they'd sent to me:

I know what happened 2 your mom.

Bring the lair and you will know 2

Kisses -A

I placed the phone back down, and looked at the dirt road ahead of me. I had to find out what happened to my mom… even thinking about it made tears come to my eyes. Then I remembered when I first began to realize my mom was… ill

(Flashback)

"So these are your toys?" Alison asked.

She had dropped by my house. She was looking at my models sitting in front of my window. I was at my desk. She was holding a red car.

"You don't play with them" I replied, grabbing the toy in her hand. Our fingers touched, and I froze, my hand still on hers.

Without hesitation, Ali said

"I know you want to kiss me"
Her voice delicate, soft.

I began to lean in, our faces close, when I heard my mom say,

"You're home already?"
My mom had been asleep till 4. I got easily concerned.

"Mom… its, its four o clock" I said, worried. My mom had a puzzled look on her face. I stepped toward her, asking,

"Are you okay?"

She shut her eyes for a moment, and then opened them.

"I'm, I'm just a little tired" She replied.

"No, you're not just a little tired Mom… I think something's going on with you" I said, uneasily.

My mom sighed, and smiled, saying,

"I'll make you a snack" Touching my chest lightly, and smiling, before leaving the room.

I heard Ali say,

"Did she just wake up?" Almost like she was annoyed.

I walked over to Alison, and said, worried,

"I think there's something wrong with her" My eyes were getting hot, and my hands were shaking.

"It's called, 'Lazy much?!'" Ali replied, angrily. I got uneased by her words, her chilly blue eyes a dagger in mine.

"I want you to leave…" I said, backing away from her.

Ali, with her arms crossed, said

"Seriously?!"

Not looking at her, I replied with,

"Yes"

Ali uncrossed her arms, and began walking past me. But before she passed all the way, she spat at me:

"Loser" And she walked out.

(Back in reality)

I stopped the RV. I felt more tears. After all these years… was I finally going to figure out what happened to my mom?

I got out of the RV, millions of thoughts going through my head. I knew by giving up the lair… I could be putting Spencer in danger. There was so much evidence in that RV… but I had to know what happened to my mom. I had to.

I began walking toward the destination; my eyes now had tears streaming out of them. I placed my hands in my leather jacket, and my head dropped as I began walking away. Walking towards –A. Walking toward the answers.
