Each inkling that is born has to have a blood test taken right after birth, so it can determine what weapon class we use in turf wars.
A is a fighting type. These inklings use shooters and sloshers.
B is a defense type. These inklings use chargers and splatlings.
C is a speed type. These inklings use rollers.
Why do they assign certain weapons to us?
To be honest...I have no idea.

"Ey, Mag!" I heard a voice call to be in the distance. I turned around to see who it was.

"Yo, Mag! What's going up in that head o' yours?"

"Wanna have sm' wars? Y'know, Turf Wars?" I froze. I knew that after reading what I had last night I could never think of Turf Wars the same way, ever again.
"Well…uhm…I-I don't think I'll be having any T-Turf Wars anytime soon..."
"Why? Don't you like turfin'?"
"Well... It's just... Turf Wars...are actually just...kinda sorta training... for the Octobeast to come. I read it up on Inkipedia."
I could tell that James was stunned by this. The expression on his face and the look of fear, confusion, and anger in his eyes really showed.
"Yo, Mag, you sure you're alright up in there?"
"Y-Yes, I'm sure!"
James paused for a moment.
"You're telling me...that Turf Wars are just training for that Octobeast guy?"
"Pretty much..."
"Never. Again."
