Author's Note: Hi. I am so excited to write this fic. I feel like Madam Pomfrey is such an underrated character. She is so amazing. She's a master of both Muggle and Wizard problems. She is able to help provide calming potions when students are stressed and she helped Lupin during the full moons. She even regrows bones. This story will be many one-shots of times when Madam Pomfrey helped students in need. There will be a lot of skipping around, chronologically. I'll usually try to specify when they take place. Chapter 1 takes place during Order of the Phoenix (1995-1996 school year).
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or any characters.
Madam Pomfrey's POV:
"Madam Pomfrey, are you here?" A 5th year asks.
"I'm here. Come in, sit down. What's wrong?" I ask the girl, who I noticed was a Hufflepuff named Susan Bones.
"It's not me that needs anything, it's my friend, Hannah." she says, entering with another 5th year Hufflepuff who I know is Hannah. Hannah, the girl with blonde hair is crying and has tears streaming down her face.
"What happened?" I ask.
"Well…We were in Herbology and out of nowhere, Hannah just started crying and saying that she is too stupid to take her exams. Professor Sprout asked me to take her here." Susan explains.
"Oh my. Well, luckily I know what will help. Thank you for bringing her, Miss Bones." I say before she returns back to her class.
That just leaves me and Hannah who is still in tears. I know what to do, but it's always best to ask the student because every student and every situation are different, so a slightly different solution is needed each time.
"Hannah, what's wrong?" I ask.
"I'm a stupid idiot." she starts in between sobs "I-I'm too stupid to take my exams. I'll fail the O.W.L.s for sure." she continues crying. I go to a cupboard and get a bottle of Calming Draught. I pour out the right amount.
"Here, drink this. It's a Calming Draught." I say before handing her the goblet it was in. She drinks it all and I wait a few minutes for it to work. "Are you feeling any better?" I ask.
She nods "Much better. Thank you Madam Pomfrey." she says before getting up and heading towards the exit.
"Wait. Where do you think you're going?" I ask.
"Back to Herbology." she says.
"No you're not. Not after what just happened. You're overworking yourself and you're under too much stress, which lead to your breakdown. I'm writing a note to your teachers to get you out of all your classes for the rest of the day. I want you to stay here and rest at least until after dinner. Read a book, draw, sleep, or do whatever you want as long as it isn't going to stress you out." I advise.
She nods and sits down in a bed, before pulling out a book and reading.
-A few hours later-
A few of Hannah's friends come by to check on her. I identify them as Susan Bones, Justin Finch-Fletchley, and Ernie Macmillan.
"Can we see Hannah? We wanted to make sure she's feeling better and bring her the homework that she missed in classes." Ernie asks.
"You can see her." I respond "But you can't give her, her homework. She doesn't need any factors to stress her out."
They nod and go to see her.
I now know that I should have a supply of Calming Draught ready for the 5th and 7th year students.
Author's Note: End of chapter 1. I've been having a bit on a lack of motivation. I've been having a lack of followers/reviews/favorites for my stories, so it would be appreciated if I got at least 2 or 3 reviews before I post chapter 2. Please check out my other stuff. I plan on updating 366 Days of Deamus, the Last Christmas, and Operation: Deamus this weekend.
