One last time.
I saw you again, in my dream.
You whispered, "I love you."
And I tried to reach out.
But I couldn't touch you.
Let me feel you,
One last time.
I hummed a melody,
The one you used to sing.
I was out of tune.
You said my voice was beautiful,
But yours was better
So please sing it to me
One last time
I picked up persimmons,
Just out of habit.
I left them on the table,
Like I used to.
Share tea with me,
one last time
Whisper to me once more,
like you did before.
Tell me you love me,
one last time,
So that I can welcome the wind,
That I know carries your spirit.
Let me love you,
One more time
I know for a poem its bad, doesn't rhyme and it has not structure, but I was just in one of those moods when I wanted to write something soppy and meaningful. Hope I didn't bore you. Let me know what you think of it.
