Some things are very strange, like chaos emeralds. Where do they come from? How do they work? These are questions we may never know, but the most mysterious of all of these mysteries would be the silver cocoon. The cocoon has been in the SA2B Normal Garden since Mobians first came to them. It always has, and always will be, a mystery. Or so they thought.
Darkness' POV
As I wake up I notice almost all the chao are in kinder garden, at the doctor, or in a match. That's good for me, because at least I know Light (a Sonic chao) won't bother me. The only other chao with me in the garden is Uky, a dark fly type with all unicorn parts. I decide not to bother him considering how old he is, how much time it must have taken Shadow to raise him, and because his stats are extremely high. 'Maybe I'll go check out the silv' I think to myself. But then I feel extremely tired so I sit down waiting to be engulfed by a light blue cocoon.
Shadow's POV
Walking into the chao garden I whistle for my look-alike chao to greet me. Instead, Uky comes and I pet him a bit. I soon spot the blue cocoon and walk quickly to it, not wanting to miss Darkness' hatching. He hatches, looks me right in the eye and grins (evilly!). I smile to myself thinking of how much of an accomplishment it is. My happy thoughts are soon interrupted by a triple tailed blonde female fox saying "Right on time, huh Shadow?" My grin turns to a frown and I say "hey". My eyes skim over her new look bordely, because I'm bored. She still has long hair, but that's it. She now wears black gloves and shorts; along with a blood red T-shirt with such light pink sleeves they're almost white. She also has what looks like a white shawl draped over her shoulder and black boots up to her knees with a faint yellow stripe on the front (kind of like Amy's). "Heeeey, mister grumpy, what's up?" She says, flicking my forehead. "Well let's see Zalinda, Darkness evolves, you get a makeover, you walk in, you flick my forehead, what am I missing?" "That I stole your gun and it is safely strapped in a belt hidden by my shirt?" I knew I hadn't lost that! "Wait, why did you tell me that?" I said suddenly. I hear nothing from her after I asked.
Zalinda's POV
"Wait, why did you tell me that" Shadow said suddenly, which made me think… Why did I tell him that? I think about why the hell I said that while he takes care of Shadie (My nickname for Darkness). I snap out of it and, instead of telling him why, said "Can I enter Shadie in a race before I leave?" "STOP CALLING HIM THAT!" "Okay! C'mon, Shadie!" I say while picking him up and carrying him to the chao cave.
Darkness' POV
I hear Zali shouting, so I listen to her words, translating them into Chao-speak. "SHADOW! GET OVER HERE!" She shouts, so loud I had to cover my ears, because, for some strange reason, I was born with ears. Shadow rushes into the cave and stops, with a look of shock in his face. The only words I hear from him are "It's hatching". I look over to where the Silv' is and see it slowly cracking. Cracking? Chao cocoons don't crack, I'm confused! I hop out of Zali's arms and slowly walk over to it. It suddenly splits down the middle, and out pops, a chao.
