Chapter 1: The Beginning of Everything
A long time ago in a world far away...
War is raging against the Viking Tribes of the Archipelago in the Planet of Athelon byDragons who steal their food, burn their villages and kill every men, woman and child who dare stand against them.
In the Village of Berk, two young Vikings eagerly await the arrival of two young Elf-Faes who seek to end the war between humans and dragons and bring peace for both sides.
Unbeknownst to them, they are a part of a massive destiny and a mysterious, powerful of beings who defend the galaxy from all evil. They are known as the Children of Sunheela.
With the aid of dragons, the four Children of Sunheela must discover why dragons are constantly attacking Berk and bring down their evil Queen and her monstrous Hags-Fiend minions...
It was the year 815 AD in the World of Athelon. In the Viking Archipelago, ruled and inhabited by 12 Viking Tribes and over a dozen different breeds of dragons, the humans and dragons were at war for over 300 years ever since dragons began raiding the Twelve Tribes of the Archipelago, stealing food, burning down villages and killing those who fought against them. This led to dragons being considered vicious, mindless, blood-thirsty beasts who had to exterminated if the Viking Tribes were to survive. Other than rival Viking Tribes or human raiders from beyond the borders of the Archipelago such as Romans, the Viking Tribes of the Archipelago shared a common, powerful enemy with the rest of the world, so terrible, so monstrous, so evil and so bloodthirsty and violent that the mere threat of them made even the bravest tremble in fear. They were Hags-Fiends, monsters of the worst sort. Unholy, impure, cruel, sadistic, bloodthirsty, lustful, psychopathic, monstrous, savage and barbaric were only several of the dozens of words used to describe them and even they did not add up to the sheer brutality, intelligence and manipulative skills of the Hags-Fiends. They were absolutely ruthless, heartless and felt no remorse or regret for their actions.
They were spread out all over the world and lived in various, isolated hideouts they converted into Hags-Fiend Cities and even Kingdoms with everything the Hags-Fiends needed and wanted. Unfortunately, they were very hard to find unless people knew where to look. Hags-Fiends had four forms: a Humanoid Form, an Orc-Mammal Form, a Devil-Bird Form and a Hell-Dragon Form. It was easy to know they were a Hags-Fiend no matter form they morphed into, especially with their horrible, ragged, cruel voices, demonic eyes and their unholy interest and excitement for anything that involved violence. Hags-Fiends possessed a form of immortality which resurrected them whenever they were killed or destroyed. The resurrected Hags-Fiend most often retained memories and were as monstrous as before. People were always trying to find the secret to how Hags-Fiends were resurrected so they could be killed permanently and never come back to life. There were times when people were successful but the Hags-Fiends tried their best to keep their discoveries secret usually by killing. Mottled, cracked skin with dark shadows, batlike, pointed ears with sharp tips, slitted, demonic eyes in colours of blood red, black, sulphuric yellow that glowed whenever the Hags-Fiend was excited for bloodlust, violence or lust, twisted, ragged horns, large, tattered, ragged, batlike wings, sharp, pointed nails and fanglike, jagged, stained teeth, matted, messy, knotted, filthy hair, beaklike noses, dry, chapped lips, gaunt faces with prominent bone structures, harsh, guttural voices, scarred bodies, horrid scents and piercings were all physical traits and characteristics of Hags-Fiends, even the clothes they wore were filthy and horrid and what little armour they preferred to wear was spiked and hardly ever cleaned. Their weapons were horrendous, terrifying, agonising and easily sickness and infections when one was hurt by them. Luckily, medicines and cures were quite easy to find in many parts of the world and galaxy.
However, if there was one species that could be considered their polar opposites, it was Elf-Faes. They came into being from the union and were conceived by Middle-Earthian/ Alagaesian Elves and Guardian Fairies who, by a mysterious, powerful act of magic, were teleported to Athelon from their original home worlds or simply migrated to other parts of Athelon from their original homelands. It was very rare for other people from other species from other worlds to be teleported to other worlds from which they did not originate and had no way of reaching, did not know about or did not know where it was and how to find it. Of course, Athelon was only one planet in a galaxy of millions and each planet was either younger and older than other planets. The same went for civilisations. Older civilisations were so very much further advanced than younger civilisations and had technology, knowledge and science that younger civilisations could only dream of. But of course, everything happens for a reason no one can claim to know why, how, when or what. Those who were teleported to other worlds by magical means could only trust and believe they were brought to other worlds for a reason they would one day discover. There were many powers in the Galaxy such as magic, science, technology and others such as 'the Force' and that included religions and belief in Higher Beings such as Gods.
But of course, everything happens for a reason that is very usually unknown to them. There were times when beings were brought to other worlds that had civilisations that knew nothing about them and because people fear what they do not understand and seek to dominate, to control and to destroy it, they were more often than not feared, hunted and sometimes even killed. To protect the new arrivals from other worlds, they were often sent books, stories and information about those people and that often to led to more positive attitudes and curiosity. Unfortunately, if they were sent to worlds that had Hags-Fiends on them, they were usually hunted, enslaved, tortured, killed or even destroyed by them.
The Elf-Faes were tall, mystical, beautiful, mysterious, wise and powerful humanoids with skin ranging in tones from white to black, pointed, elven ears, smooth, curved horns that matched the exact colour of their eyes, smooth, clear voices and big, birdlike wings with a sharp, smooth, white, forward-curving claw on both main joints. The feathers were soft and smooth. The top most were black and the bottom most feathers were white with three colours in between and matching the Elf-Fae's hair, skin and or eye colour. An Elf-Fae's horns were formed of hollow bone and gave them a form of passive echolocation, allowing Elf-Faes to sense the surrounding environment. Most Elf-Faes were equalists, meaning they believed everything was equal; and everything must have a balance. The clothes they were usually suited for everyday life and allowed maximum movement and practicality. Elf-Fae usually consisted of tunics, trousers, boots, belts, vests and even jewellery and armour of which was known for allowing maximum movement, comfort, practicality and covering the whole body if it was a full-body set of armour. Unfortunately, Elf-Faes could not wear of their wings and if they could, it usually consisted on small, thin plates on the top of the wings. Elf-Faes shared a strong, powerful connection with nature, magic and magical beings such as dragons. They had four forms they could morph into at will including their Humanoid Form and an Element they could create, manipulate and control. Their other three Forms were a Dragon Form, meaning they could morph into only species of dragons with their natural weapons and breath, their Mammal Form, which meant they could morph into only one mammal such as a Wolf, Bear, Deer or something else and a Bird Owl, it was the same as the Mammal Form but with only one breed of bird such as a Barn Owl, Snowy Owl, Spotted Owl, Great Horned Owl, Golden Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, Hawks or others. There were some Elf-Faes who were more powerful than others and had more than one Element and or more than four Forms. An Elf-Fae's life span consisted of one thousand years if they were not killed before then. There were also some who were resurrected after their deaths for one reason or another. Elf-Faes possessed super-human powers such as speed, strength, agility, reflexes and senses. They sought to unite Athelon and bring peace, prosperity, justice, kindness, knowledge and friendship to the world but they knew that as long as the Hags-Fiends existed, that dream would be nearly impossible to achieve so they sought to destroy the Hags-Fiends with every human, dragon and Elf-Fae working together.
This is the first story in a long series of stories of a brave group of Humans, Dragons, Aliens and other Magical Beings who no matter the odds, sought to end the threat of the Hags-Fiends and brought peace, unity, justice, knowledge, friendship, joy and prosperity no matter where they went. They were the Dragoniters and many of them were part of a far larger, more powerful Order known as the Children of Sunheela. This is the story that started it all, the first story of The Chronicles of the Dragoniters. This story is where it all began: Dawn of the Dragoniters.
It was the year 815 AD in the World of Athelon and a single ship was sailing through calm waters on its way to the Island of Berk, home to the Berkian Tribe of Vikings, numbering over 5000 men, women and children. A young Elf-Fae was leaning on the rail on the side of the ship, staring out into the horizon. Her name was Aniu Namara'sdaughter. She was fifteen years old, born on the 4th of January, slim, athletic, fit, beautiful, strong, wise, intelligent, brave, kind, always fought for what she believed was right and always defended those who could not defend themselves, leading to quite a few fights over the years. Fortunately, Aniu was a very good fighter for someone her age, species and gender. She was an expert at wielding two swords, throwing daggers, archery, fighting with her Elements, hand to hand combat and other types of martial arts like Karate and Tai Chi. Unfortunately, that made her a target of some bullies which led to her despising bullies and those who thought they were better, more superior than others and could do whatever they wanted. There were times when Aniu could get cranky or even downright furious and lash out but she always calmed pretty quickly. She was 5 and a half feet tall at the top of her head, with her emerald green, curving horns that distinctly resembled a picture of a female Togruta's montrals in a book she had read about aliens in a galaxy far, far away. They added to her height, making Aniu six feet tall from her feet to the tips of her horns when she stood up straight. Her wings had a wingspan of eight feet when fully unfurled.
Aniu had healthy, soft, supple, pure white skin which was the reason for her name even though her Elements were Fire and Air. Aniu meant 'Snow' in the Inuitian Language. Her face was rather angular with brilliant, bright emerald green eyes that same colour as her horns and a pair of elven ears with sharp points flicking up. Smooth, straight, golden-brown hair cascaded down her back, shoulders and chest. It would reach to her lower back if she was standing up straight and was unbraided, waving freely in the wind that blew in a welcoming breeze around her. Midnight black, deep brown, golden, blonde and pure white descended down her wings. Aniu's clothing consisted of a deep green, long-sleeved, tunic that reached down to her mid-thighs and had a collar folded down around her neck, yellow leggings, deep green leather, knee-high boots with deep brown fur liners, a yellow leather, buckled belt with clips, hooks and little brown pouches or storing things like weapons, a deep brown, sleeveless leather vest reaching down to her hips and a thin band of blue leather around her neck, acting as a choker necklace, worn merely as an accessory.
Aniu's Animal Forms were a Summer Dragon, a Dire Wolf and a Barn Owl. Summer Dragons were known for their hot, powerful fire and the warm heat radiating off their scales. Their bodies consisted of a slim, lean, muscular torso, four legs with four long, razor sharp claws, a long, agile, whip-like tail, two large, membranous wings and a tapered, lizard-like head perched on the end of a medium length neck. Their scales varied from summer colours such as yellow, orange, light blue and green. Her Summer Dragon Form was nearly 50 feet long from the tip of her snout to the tip of her tail and her wingspan was about 70 feet. The inside of her mouth was lined with razor-sharp, smooth, white fangs and a forked, dragon tongue. Two fangs jutted out of her upper jaws and a single, sharp, white nasal horn grew up above her nostrils. A pair of small ears were positioned below a pair of white horns that grew to the back of her head, went straight and horizontal then flicked up. Her spines consisted of backward curving rectangular spines on her head, neck, back and tail. Plated scales covered her underside and a spade tipped her tail. Her wings were simple and membranous with three sharp, white claws on the main joint. Aniu's scales were golden-brown, white claws, teeth and horns and emerald green eyes, spines, insides of ears, under-scales, tail spade and wing membranes.
Her Dire Wolf was easily as big as a horse with thick, shaggy, soft, golden-brown fur with a white underside, emerald green eyes, sharp white claws on each paw and even sharper white fangs. Her Barn Owl Form was as big as a Great Gray Owl with thick, soft, golden-brown feather and deep brown colour patches and stripes on the back of her head, wings, tail feathers and back, black spots all over her body, white feathers on her heart-shaped face, chest, belly, legs and underside of her wings and tail feathers, black talons, golden-brown beak and emerald green eyes. Aniu's Elements were Fire and Air and her senses, strength, speed, stamina, agility, reflexes, wisdom and intelligence were beyond a human's, as it was for most of her species but Aniu's hearing and agility were beyond even her other senses and physical abilities. Aniu loved to fly, to run, to be surrounded by Nature, being happy, relaxed, free and most of all, being with her friends, family and familiars.
Speaking of Familiars, a large, male Barn Owl flew over and landed on the rail beside her, regarding his Familiar with large, wise, black eyes. A massive Dire Wolf followed at a more discreet pace and sat beside her on the wooden deck. Familiars were animals who formed a special Bond with a Humanoid. Familiars were truly unique among their species, being as intelligent and able to feel emotions as the Humanoid they were Bonded too. Many believed that a Familiar Bond was a Soul-Bond and they were most likely right. They were many forms of Soul-Bonds: Soul-Mates, Soul-Siblings and the Soul-Bonds that formed between Humanoids and Dragons or other Magical Creatures. Familiars and their Bonded were joined together for life, both living as long as the other, able to telepathically communicate and feel each other's emotions and pain over long distances. Depending on who the Familiar Bonded, the Familiar would also gain powers from their Bonded and even wings and horns if they were Bonded to an Elf-Fae. Aniu smiled as she sensed their thoughts in her mind. "Hello, Caruso, Edme." She said mentally. "Hello, Aniu." Caruso and Edme replied. Caruso was the male Barn Owl and Edme the female Dire Wolf. Caruso's facial disc was pure white with a brown edge and dark brown-black eyes. His head and upperparts were orange-brown, covered partly by a deep ashy-grey veil marked with scattered white spots surrounded by black. His tail was similar, with a few darker bars and with white dots near the tips of the feathers. Caruso's underparts were pure white with a few small, black drop-shaped spots. His legs were feathered white nearly to the base of the mostly bare toes, which were greyish-brown and yellowish-brown underneath with black talons. A pair of emerald green horns sprouted up from his head. Edme's eyes were emerald green, very much like Aniu's and her thick, shaggy, soft fur was pure white with white paws, chest fur and belly fur. Her claws and nose were black. A pair of wings with pure white feathers and emerald green bars were tucked loosely against her sides with a pair of emerald green horns on her head.
That was when they were joined by a male Elf-Fae four months younger than Aniu, one she had known for her entire life. His name was Nava Theodore'sson. Like Aniu, he was slim, athletic, fit, beautiful, strong, wise, intelligent, brave, kind and always fought for what he believed was right, including getting into fights with bullies, in fact, thinking of bullies made Aniu grit her teeth and clench her fists in anger at their mere thought of Heep, Babika, Melvin and Salita or 'the four lustful bastards and slutty bitches whose greatest joys in life were hurting others, including each other and making their lives hell. "Hello Nava." Aniu smiled, her voice smooth, lilting and crystal clear. "Hello, Aniu." Nava smiled back at her. His voice was deeper than hers. Nava had clear-cut sapphire blue eyes, precisely the same colour as his horns, his skin was smooth, pleasantly cool to the touch and a shade darker than hers. Nava was known for being very affectionate, protective, kind and caring though he could get quite a temper when someone or something pissed him off. Soft, straight silver-blonde hair flowed in gentle waves over his head and down to his shoulders and forehead. Two pointed, elven ears poked out of his hair and two, elegantly curved, sapphire blue Guardian Fairy horns precisely the same colour as his eyes grew up from his head. Nava's wings were slightly bigger and stronger than Aniu's wings and the claws slightly shorter and blunter. Nava had the almost the same powers as Aniu but his Primary Elements were Ice and Water. His Primary Super-Human Powers were Superhuman Stamina and Precognition, which meant that Nava could sense things were about to happen before they did but Nava's Precognition power was only limited to sensing what would happen next, not what would happen after that. They knew it was because the future always changes with every decision, thought and action.
Nava wore a long-sleeved, sapphire blue tunic that reached down to his mid-thighs, silver trousers and blonde boots made out of a thick, strong leather that he wore with his trousers tucked into them. A blonde leather belt was buckled around his hips with little silver pouches on the belt and clips that let him clip things onto it whenever he needed to. He also wore a Jedi-like overshirt over his tunic. "Enjoying the view, are we?" Nava asked, inhaling the air. "Yes, you know how much I like doing it." Aniu replied, nuzzling into his side. All through their fifteen years of life, Aniu and Nava had been inseparable. Their families had been brought even closer and formed a family friendship as well. Their mothers and fathers were wonderful people, always wanting the best for their children and helping them be who they wanted to be. Their aunts, uncles and grandparents visited whenever they could and there often family gatherings.
Nava's Animal Forms were a Winter Dragon, a Dire Wolf and a Golden Eagle. Winter Dragons were known for being dragons of ice, cold and snow. Their Breath Weapon was pure, freezing cold, ice. Their scales radiated cold and their tails were covered in razor-sharp, icicle like tail spikes which they could erect and fire at will by flicking their tails at a target. They were very physically similar to Summer Dragons, both of them sharing the same slim, lean, muscular torso, four legs with four long, razor sharp claws, a long, agile, whip-like tail, two large, membranous wings and a tapered, lizard-like head perched on the end of a medium length neck. Winter Dragons were nearly 50 feet long from the tips of their snouts to the tips of their tails and their wingspans were about 70 feet. The inside of their mouths were lined with razor-sharp, smooth, white fangs and a forked, dragon tongue. Two long, icicle-like fangs jutted out of their upper jaws and a single, sharp, white nasal horn grew up above their nostrils. A pair of small ears were positioned below a pair of white, antler-like, pronged-on-the-end horns that grew to the back of their heads, below them were four, shorter, curved horns, two above the ears and two below the ears. Icicle-like spines began behind the nasal horns, went down the neck and back to the base of their tails. Plated scales covered their undersides, providing sufficient armour. Their wings were simple and membranous with three sharp, white claws on the main joints. Winter Dragon scales were varied from pure, snow white, which was the most common, to silver, pale gray, blue, purple or even brown. The undersides of their wings were usually a different, darker colour, as was their eyes. Nava's eyes and the undersides of his wings were sapphire blue with hints and shades of silver-blonde on his white scales. Nava's Dire Wolf form had silver blonde fur, sapphire blue eyes and white paws and underside. His Golden Eagle was similarly coloured.
And speaking of family...a young Elf-Fae boy only ten years old ran up to Aniu and leaned against the wall, beaming up at her. "Hello, Arin." Aniu smiled affectionately at her younger brother who resembled their father while Aniu resembled their mother. Arin Fengo'sson had a slim body, pale skin, pointed ears (but not as pointed as his sister's because of his younger age), forest green eyes and a young, boyish face. Two forest green horns were already growing on his head which was covered by golden-brown hair. Arin had only gained his wings on his eighth birthday as all Elf-Fae children do. They were black, brown, golden, yellow and white. His clothing consisted of a green, long sleeved tunic, yellow trousers and belt, brown boots and a vest. Arin was known for being quite mischievous and enjoyed annoying his elder sister, mother and father, earning him the nickname 'cheeky, little brat'. Despite all of his pranks and mischief, Arin loved his family and shared a brotherly bond with Nava. He was best friends with Nava's five year old sister Mira Nala'sdaughter who had just ran up to her elder brother and wrapped her arms around his legs, nearly unbalancing him. "Hello there, little lady." Nava smiled at his sister once he had regained his balance. "Hey, big brother." Mira beamed up at him. She lacked wings and horns but her ears had already begun to taper into points. Silver-blonde hair covered her head, swishing in curly waves over her shoulders. Her eyes were sky blue and her skin pale. Mira was dressed in a sky blue dress that young Elf-Fae girls typically wore in their first years of life. Underneath were white leggings and yellow boots. Their mother insister her daughter wear a white, rabbit fur vest to keep her warm. Letting go of her brother, Mira let Aniu bend down and wrap her arms and wings around the little girl she loved like a baby sister. Aniu and Nava loved each other's siblings as if they were their own.
A female Golden Eagle and another Dire Wolf, this time a male followed them at a slower pace. The Eagle perched on the rail beside Caruso who greeted her with a nod and the male Dire Wolf sat beside Edme, who nuzzled him. The Golden Eagle's name was Zena and the male Dire Wolf's name was Artemis. Zena had dark brown feathers, a blonde beak, golden eyes, sapphire blue horns and black talons. Artemis had glossy, black fur with a hint of dark blue, particularly on his paws, chest and throat, sapphire blue eyes, horns and blue-black wings on his back. A female Barn Owl named Sorena, a male Golden Eagle named Stryker and two Reindeer, one male named Sprinter and one female named Akira also joined them with the birds perching beside Caruso and Zena and the two Reindeer sitting beside the two Dire Wolves with not a hint of fear on their faces. The feathers on Sorena's upperparts and facial rim were tawny with a brownish-grey veil marked with scattered white spots surrounded by black. Her tail was similar, with a few darker bars and with white spots near the tips of the feathers. Sorena's underparts were pure white with a few small, black drop-shaped spots. Her legs were feathered white nearly to the base of the mostly bare toes, which were greyish-brown and yellowish-brown underneath with black talons. Stryker's dark brown feathers were so dark they were nearly black, his beak was brown, his talons black and his eyes sapphire blue. Sprinter and Akira were both brown.
Sorena, Stryker, Sprinter and Akira were not either Aniu or Nava's Familiars, instead they were the destined Familiars of Aniu and Nava's Soul-Mates. Soul-Mates were very rare and two was the most common number of Soul-Mates in a Soul-Mate Bond, three were rarer but four, even more so. Aniu and Nava had known they were Soul-Mates ever since they were young children. They had discovered they had two more Soul-Mates when they dreamed of two young Vikings from the dragon-war torn Village of Berk, Hiccup Haddock and Astrid Hofferson. In their dreams, they could see each other, speak to each other and share memories and information of each other's lives. They told their families, then their friends but unfortunately, Heep, Babika, Malvin and Salita found out and bullied them even more, not only for being bisexual and having two other Soul-Mates but also because they had an unhealthy interest in Aniu and Nava who had noticed them giving them lustful, intense looks and trying to get Aniu and Nava join them in their hobbies, it grew even worse when they went through puberty and developed. Aniu and Nava suspected Heep, Babika, Malvin and Salita were in an incestuous, four-way relationship and they occasionally attempted to get Aniu and Nava to be a part of it but Aniu and Nava would rather be eaten alive by a pack of rabid wolves then join them.
Even if they had not yet met Hiccup and Astrid in person, Aniu and Nava felt like they had known them for years, which was actually true if dream-visits had anything to do with it. They knew Hiccup was a very smart, fast, inventive, compassionate and sneaky person with a dry, sarcastic sense of humour, he was also clumsy and a village outcast, which was surprising considering he was the only child, son and heir of Stoick Haddock, Chief of the Village of Berk. Ever since Aniu, Nava, Hiccup and Astrid became aware of each other through their dreams and told their parents, they had been sending letters back and forth until their parents decided it was time for them to Berk. When Aniu, Nava, their families and Familiars found out that Berk and the surrounding Viking Tribes were locked in an un-wielding war against dragons who raided their villages, stole their food, burned their houses and killed everyone in their way, they swore they would help end the war and find out why so many dragons were attacking Berk and had been doing so for so long as most dragons never attacked Viking Villages without reason unless it was because of a serious grudge that had turned deadly. But then again, there were many dragons who hated humans and it was likely one such dragon was forcing other dragons to do it for them. If the latter was true, then that dragon must be very powerful and influential.
"Aniu, Arin, where are you, darlings?" A familiar voice called and a female Elf-Fae around 35 years of age walked up to them, her belly swollen by six months of pregnancy with four months to go until she gave birth. Elf-Fae pregnancies lasted for ten months from conception to child birth and they were absolutely thrilled at the new addition to the family, particularly her husband and their father whose times away from his pregnant wife were practically nonexistent. Her skin was a flawless white and emerald green eyes brightened upon seeing her children. Golden hair cascaded in elegant waves down her back and shoulder, covering her forehead as well. Pointed, elven ears and two emerald green horns which towered over a dozen inches above her head grew out from her hair. She wore an emerald green, long sleeved dress with the neckline hugging her neck and the skirt reaching her ankles over a pair of white leggings and emerald green, leather boots with golden fur liners. A gold necklace hung around her neck (like the one Princess Leia Organa wears at the end of A New Hope) and a white leather belt with a gold buckle was buckled around her hips over a white, sleeveless leather vest. "Hey, Mum." Aniu and Arin chimed in unison. "Hey, Namara." Nava and Mira said. Namara Galana'sdaughter smiled brightly and stood between Aniu and Arin, placing her slim hands on their shoulders. Aniu and Arin leaned into their mother and both of them rested a hand on her belly. The baby inside wriggled and both of his or her elder siblings felt kicks under their hands, drawing loving smiles. They all felt the baby would be a girl because Aniu, the eldest child, was a female and Arin, the second youngest, was a male. Elf-Faes typically birthed children in patterns. If their first child was a girl, then the next child was most usually a boy. The baby's parents and older siblings already had names picked out: Arya if it was a girl and Adan if it was a boy.
"Namara! Where are you, my love?" A familiar voice called out and Namara sighed, shaking her head in fond amusement. She knew her time away from her very protective and dork of a loving husband would be very brief. An Elf-Fae man of around 40 years of age walked up to them. He had tan skin, a tall, well-built body, pointed, elven ears and forest green eyes. His hair was deep brown and fell neatly over his head. Two forest green Guardian Fairy horns grew up from it. He wore a forest green tunic and leather boots, brown trousers, leather belt and a brown jerkin like what medieval men wore. "Hey, Dad." Aniu and Arin said, smiling at him. Fengo Hrath'sson smiled, kissed his wife lovingly on one cheek and ruffled his children's hair. They were shortly joined by two more Elf-Faes, Nava and Mira's parents. Their father, Theodore Grank'sson and their mother, Nala Angela'sdaughter, looked a lot like their children. Theo had silver hair, sapphire blue eyes and horns. His clothing was similar to Fengo's but with his colour scheme. Nala had sky blue eyes, blonde hair and horns. Her clothing was a dress, leggings, boots, belt and vest like Namara's but with her own colour scheme.
Aniu and Nava sensed they and their two other Soul-Mates would have more Soul-Bonds in the future. Aniu and Nava had sensed they were Soul-Mates from a very young age but no amount of companionship could ease the sense of many things missing. As they grew older, Aniu and Nava began to dream of two Human Vikings on the Island of Berk. Their names were Hiccup Haddock, son of Stoick the Vast and Heir to the Chiefdomship of Berk and Astrid Hofferson, daughter of Arthur and Ingrid Hofferson, a young Shield-Maiden and Hiccup's best friend, protector and Soul-Mate. As far as Aniu and Nava knew, Hiccup and Astrid were aware of their Soul-Mate Bond and that they had been dreaming of them too. Only a few months ago, Aniu, Nava, Hiccup and Astrid became aware of each other in their dreams and they could talk, see each other, hear each other and all together sense each other. So as they lay sleeping in their beds, Aniu, Nava, Hiccup and Astrid spent their sleeping hours talking about their lives, viewing each other's memories and otherwise getting to know each other. Their parents were well aware of this and so they arranged to have Aniu, Nava, their families and familiars travel to Berk and become live in the village close to their Soul-Mates, thereby becoming permanent residents of the Berkian Viking Village on the Island of Berk. Through Aniu and Nava, Hiccup and Astrid learned of their Familiars, their Soul-Mate Bond and what being Elf-Faes was like. Through Hiccup and Astrid, Aniu and Nava learned of the War Against Dragons and the attacks that ravaged Berk. They vowed to learn WHY dragons were attacking Berk and told Hiccup and Astrid that on Elf-Fae Island, where they lived, dragons were peaceful, magical creatures as intelligent as humans and that there were good dragons, there were bad dragons and there were dragons who were neither good nor evil. Together, Aniu, Nava, Hiccup and Astrid vowed to end the War Between Dragons and Humans. Unfortunately, Hiccup and Astrid did not tell their parents for fear of what Stoick, Arthur and Ingrid would do as they hated dragons for attacking their village, killing their fellow Vikings, destroying homes and stealing their food and livestock.
"Lovely day today, is it not?" Fengo asked. "Indeed, the weather is wonderful." Namara sighed, taking a deep breath of the fresh air. "The weather has been good ever since we set sail." Theo said. "Berk is only a few days away. We best get ready." Nala said. "It is surprising no ships have attacked us." Fengo said. "Maybe dragons are keeping them away." Namara said. "Even more surprising is no Hags-Fiends." Theo said. "The Gods must be clearing our way." Nala said. "They must really want us to get to Berk." Arin said. "And stop the war so dragons will be good again." Mira said. "The stars have been bright, the skies cloudless and the sun warm." Caruso said. "Indeed. I wonder how long this peace will last." Edme replied. "Not everyone will be happy about our attempts to unite dragons and the Vikings of Berk." Zena reminded them. "Indeed. We will have people against us even on Berk." Artemis said. "Hopefully, those with us will far outnumber those against us." Sorena said. "I shudder to think what will happen if any Hags-Fiends catch wind of what we are going to be doing." Akira said. Her fur was a hazelnut brown, eyes black, hooves, antlers, underside white and fur above hooves and around mouth, inside of ears and tip of tail black. "I believe the Hags-Fiends are partially responsible for this war." Sprinter added. He had chestnut brown fur, black eyes and antlers and white underside, 'socks above his black hooves, mouth and patch on his neck below his mouth, inside ears and tip of his tail."It would not surprise me so we must be careful." Stryker said. Aniu and Nava smiled and stared off into the distance where an island with tall cliffs had appeared on the horizon, getting more and more visible with each minute that passed. Both Soul-Mates glanced at each other and smiled, eyes gleaming at the knowledge they would soon meet their other two Soul-Mates and find new homes on Berk. They could not wait.
On the Island of Berk, a group of Vikings waited on the docks for the first Elf-Fae additions to the Village of Berk. However, two of them were waiting for their Elf-Fae Soul-Mates and their Familiars they had never seen in person but only knew them by the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual connection they shared. Hiccup Haddock and Astrid Hofferson had been dreaming of the time they would meet Aniu Namara'sdaughter and Nava Theodore'sson. Just thinking of it made their souls nearly explode with excitement, impatience and joy. They both knew what Aniu and Nava looked like, sounded like, acted like and so many other things about them, either learned from their telepathic links, dream-walking or instinctual knowledge. Hiccup and Astrid both knew why Aniu and Nava could not come sooner, it was just too dangerous with all the dragon attacks, Hags-Fiends, hostile Viking Tribes or other such enemies. Their parents and Gobber knew Hiccup and Astrid were Soul-Mates and two of the Elf-Faes on board the ship were also their Soul-Mates as well. Luckily, they accepted and welcomed this, even congratulated Hiccup and Astrid, wishing them good fortune and blessing the two-men-two-woman Soul-Mate Bond as polygamous unions, marriages and relationships were not very rare in their part of the world. When their friends learned of it, they were quite surprised but happy. Unfortunately, not everyone would be as accepting and when they made their opinions and beliefs known, they would handle it with peaceful solutions.
Hiccup and Astrid were both fifteen years old and Hiccup had been born on the 28th of February 800 AD while Astrid had been born on the 8th of March 800 AD. Both were slim, fit, athletic and intelligent, very much so. According to Stoick, Hiccup had come early into the world from his mother's womb. As a baby, he had been such a wee thing, so frail, so fragile, so delicate and so small. Valka, Hiccup's mother, had feared Hiccup would not live long but Stoick had never doubted Hiccup would grow up to become strong, powerful, confident, smart, adaptable and a great leader. Hiccup was indeed smart and adaptable. It was partially thanks to Astrid and his skills at inventing, forging and blacksmithing that Hiccup had become confident than he ever used to be. Valka had been a gentle, kind, compassionate and caring woman and Hiccup was quite like her in many ways. Stoick even said that Hiccup was more his mother's son than his son. Indeed, Hiccup's similarities to Valka often brought tears to Stoick's eyes as he was reminded constantly of his dead wife, the woman he had so loved and gave his heart to. One night, during a vicious raid, Valka had been taken by a dragon while trying to protect Hiccup, who had barely any memory of his mother, as was to be expected because he was only a baby sleeping in his cradle at the time.
Hiccup's premature birth had led to a rather scrawny, short, wiry and thin build and he was rather terrible at wielding traditional Viking weapons, something Astrid was trying to fix by having Hiccup forge daggers and knifes that were well suited to his size, strength and nimbleness. His skin was surprising dark for Vikings in their village, it was deep tan with dark brown freckles over the visible parts of his skin. Hiccup's eyes were emerald green and reddish-brown hair that was straight and reached down to his neck. A small, white served on his chin served as a reminder of the horrible night when he lost his mother. A for his clothing, Hiccup wore a simple, deep green, long sleeved tunic with the hem reaching three quarters of the way down his mid thigh, black trousers and leather boots with deep brown fur liners, a deep brown, sleeveless, open vest that reached down to his hips and a black, sash like belt around his hips. Astrid was a bit taller than him and her body was slim, lean, strong and athletic with olive skin. Her eyes were a bright shade of sapphire blue and her golden-blonde, soft, smooth, straight and shiny hair was braided down her back, reaching the area between her upper and lower back. Two locks framed her round face and her fringe covered half of her forehead, secured by a thin, leather headband wrapped around her head. Astrid wore a sleeveless, deep blue shirt, white leggings, deep blue, leather boots, deep blue cloth bracers around her lower arms and an armoured, Viking woman skirt consisting of flat strips of deep blue leather with little metal bolts attached. She also wore metal, layered shoulder pads with little studs on every layer, providing sufficient protection to her shoulders.
"I cannot wait until they are here." Hiccup said softly. "I cannot either." Astrid replied. "What do you think will happen when we come face to face with them?" Hiccup asked. "I do not know but it will be well worth the wait." Astrid said. The minutes passed in silence and the ship sailed closer and closer until it reached the docks and anchors were thrown overboard. Hiccup and Astrid waited in tense silence, their hearts pounding in excitement and they could sense their two other Soul-Mates get closer and closer as the ramp was lowered onto the docks and the people on board began to disembark. And then, the two Elf-Faes they knew only through their mental connection came into and Hiccup and Astrid's breaths faded away as they could do nothing but stare at Aniu Nava who stared back at them with the same, breathless expressions on their faces. Without conscious thought and with the need to be together, Hiccup, Astrid, Aniu and Nava walked closer and closer and closer to together as the other Elf-Faes followed. They were not aware of everyone staring and watching in silence as Aniu Namara'sdaughter, Nava Theodore'sson, Astrid Hofferson and Hiccup Haddock stood gazing at each other, walking and closer with every step until they were right in front of each other. Then all four of them extended their hands. Aniu grasped Hiccup and Astrid's hands, Nava grasped Astrid and Hiccup's hands, Astrid grasped Nava and Aniu's hands and Hiccup grasped Aniu and Nava's hands simultaneously. As soon as their hands met in that very second, a feeling of absolute joy, contentment and relief flowed through their very beings and Hiccup, Astrid, Aniu and Nava collapsed, still holding hands. The last thing each of them felt was the feeling of their hands clasped and skin touching for the first time in their lives as their souls, hearts, minds and bodies sang and magic flooded through every atom.
The sensation lasted for what felt like forever when really it lasted for around sixteen hours. As the first rays of morning light spilled over the horizon, Hiccup, Astrid, Aniu and Nava regained mental consciousness but their bodies were still deeply asleep or in a coma. The first things they were aware of were the mental and emotional presences in their minds, souls and very beings. The more they awoke, the more they could sense the presences of their Soul-Mates. It grew and grew until links formed between their minds and opened, filling their own minds and emotions with the thoughts, feelings and emotions of their Soul-Mates. "Aniu?"/ "Nava?"/ "Hiccup?"/ "Astrid?" they each heard their Soul-Mates ask in their minds and in the names of everything that was good did it bring them such joy to hear each other finally speak so intimately. The voices and minds of their Soul-Mates were the most beautiful things they had ever sensed. That was when they regained full consciousness and realized their bodies were pressed together in the most wonderful hugs they could ever remember or imagine, even if it was from their families. While others would have been mortified and very embarrassed at finding themselves in such a position Hiccup, Astrid, Aniu and Nava did not feel such things, if they did, they were not really aware. Somehow, each and every of them were somehow touching and holding each other. And that was when their eyes opened: emerald green into sapphire blue, sapphire blue into emerald green, sapphire blue into sapphire blue, emerald green into emerald green. "We are finally together!" Jubilant laughs escaped their mouths and Hiccup, Astrid, Aniu and Nava embraced in one big first hug. It was so wonderful they never wanted to let go of each other. They were more content than anything to just simply lay there in each other's arms, legs and wings, feel the bodies of their Soul-Mates press against theirs and never separate and never get up from the bed they were laying in.
Wait, what? They looked around and saw they were lying on a bed consisting of a soft mattress, sheets, pillows and a blanket in a room consisting of four, white, marble walls and a deep brown, wooden door. A crystal chandelier aglow with golden light dangled from the ceiling above their bed, lighting up the room. Aside from the bed, the only other furniture in the room were an empty set of shelfs, made out brown wood and another brown series of shelfs that were meant for books. A long, wooden desk stretched across one wall, complete with chairs. Carpets made out of pelts from different animals covered most of the marble floor and there was a pile of them close by, obviously meant for Aniu and Nava's wolf forms. Four big, stone slabs were set along one wall and Hiccup and Astrid how shocked they were when Aniu and Nava told them they could turn into dragons with all of their memories and sentience remaining. "No need to worry about us forgetting who you two are." Nava told them. "We maintain our conscience when we turn into our Animal Forms, including our Dragon Forms." Aniu added. They also did not if Hiccup and Astrid would gain Elf-Fae powers, abilities and characteristics such as wings, horns, pointed ears and superhuman powers, senses and abilities but they thought it would be most likely. Four big bird nests were set up on a platform stretching from one end to the another of the third wall, obviously meant for Aniu and Nava's Bird Forms. Seeing all of the pelts, nests and stone slabs in the big room meant that Hiccup and Astrid gaining Animal Forms was even more likely. The size of the room, the door and everything in the room made them know that they could turn into their Animal Forms without having to worry about space. The four of them began to wonder when Hiccup and Astrid would become Human/ Elf-Fae Hybrids. The 'seeds' of their powers had already began to grow in them as far as they knew, given how Hiccup was very fast, sneaky, quiet, intelligent and wise for someone of his age and build and Astrid was much stronger than she looked. Hiccup even once said she had flipped Snotlout, a boy three times her size and weight, over her shoulder. Out of their senses, Hiccup's eyesight was much better than most as was Astrid's sense of smell. For Elemental Powers, Hiccup had a natural affinity for Darkness/ Shadows and Lightning/ Electricity while Astrid had a natural affinity for Light and Energy.
"Where are we? And how did we get here?" Astrid inquired. "It must have been our Soul-Mate Bond that brought us here." Hiccup guessed. "You are quite right, Hiccup Haddock." A voice said and four ghosts materialised out of thin air at the foot of their bed. All four of them were Elf-Faes although one of the men and one of the women looked more like Humans than the other two full-blooded Elf-Faes. "Who and what are you four?" Nava asked. "And what are you four doing here?" Astrid inquired ferociously. "I am Evelyn Spiria'sdaughter."/ "I am Torian Sven'sson." / "I am Minki Hollaf."/ " And I am Stryka Henderlas." The four ghosts introduced themselves. Evelyn had long, curly hair and horns, pointed ears and big wings folded neatly along her spine. It was obvious she was a full-blooded Elf-Fae. Her body was slim but strong, muscular and athletic as was Stryka's but her hair was braided quite like Astrid's and her features were more humane despite her Elf-Fae characteristics, she was quite possibly a hybrid of the two species. Torian also looked to be a full-blooded Elf-Fae while Miniki looked to a Human/ Elf-Fae Hybrid like Stryka. All four of them were wearing a matching outfit: a long sleeved, mid-thigh tunic, trousers and knee-high boots with a full set of matching armour over the top of their clothes. "We were Children of Sunheela before our physical forms died." Evelyn said. "We are also Soul-Mates like you four. Then, now and forever." Torian said. "We are to guide you and teach you about being Soul-Mates and Children of Sunheela." Miniki said. "We have watched over you four for your entire lives." Stryka added.
Hiccup, Astrid, Aniu and Nava stared at them as they processed the information. "What are the Children of Sunheela?" Hiccup asked. "The Children of Sunheela are a galaxy-wide army of sentient beings that guard the galaxy against threats and Hags-Fiends." Miniki explained. "You four, as well as others that you have yet to meet, are the Children of Sunheela of this world, the Planet of Athelon." Stryka added. "What makes you four think we are Children of Sunheela?' Astrid asked. "We KNOW your four are Children of Sunheela. We have known ever since you four were born." Evelyn said. "I know this is a big shock and hard to process but we are telling the truth. I swear on my magic." Torian said and a blue light swirled around the hand he held over his heart. Instantly, Hiccup, Astrid, Aniu and Nava knew they were telling the truth. "Uh, can you four please tell us more about you four and this 'Children of Sunheela' thing?" Hiccup requested and so Evelyn, Torian, Miniki and Stryka told them more about themselves, Children of Sunheela, their roles as Children of Sunheela, their Soul-Mate Bond and the room they had found themselves in. It was just one room of a magical home existing out of physical space. It was called the Soul-Bondling Home and according to the four ghosts, every family of Soul-Bonds had one. They also told them they would never be alone and in the very near future, find more Soul-Bonds and end the War Between Humans and Dragons.
"Who are our other Soul-Bonds?" Hiccup inquired. "You four will know in due time. None of them will be another Soul-Mate as you four are the only Soul-Mates you four will ever have for the rest of your lives." Evelyn said. "You four first became aware of each other through dreams and visions. That is how you four will know until you find them and or they find you." Torian said. "They may not even be humans or Elf-Faes. Instead, they might not be from this world but that does not mean you four and them are not meant to be together as Soul-Soul-Bonds." Miniki said. "Be patient. It may take some time, weeks, months, years even, until you four find them and when you do, everything would have been worth it." Stryka added. "Remember what we told you four about Dragon Riders and this War?" Torian asked and they nodded. "I sense you four will find four very special dragons and form Soul-Bonds with them then it is only a matter of time until the War is over and the instigator or instigators, whichever one, is or are dead." He continued. "So you mean that we will have dragons as part of our Soul-Bonds?" Hiccup asked in shock. "Most likely yes. Have you four not always dreamed of ending the war and bringing peace to your lands?" Evelyn asked. "When we find our dragons, how will we prove that peace, friendship and coexistence between dragons, humans and Elf-Faes is more possible than we ever thought?" Aniu inquired. "Do not worry, I am sure things will work out. War takes it toll on everyone and I am sure the people of Berk are desperate for the war to end." Miniki said. "Before we show you around your new Soul-Bondling Home, there are some things we must give you." Stryka said and gestured at the table across the room from the foot of their bed. It was then that they noticed a number of different objects placed on it. Curious, Hiccup, Astrid, Aniu and Nava got out of the bed and walked over to the table. "What is all this?" Aniu asked. "They are your first set of Gifts of Sunheela. You four will need them in the adventures and times to come." Evelyn. "They are colour-coded so you four know which ones are yours. Aniu, yours are emerald green and golden. Nava, yours are sapphire blue and silver." Torian said. "Hiccup, yours are emerald green and silver. Astrid, yours are sapphire blue and golden." Miniki said. "Step forward, take closer looks and let your instincts guide you four to which ones are yours." Stryka said.
Aniu, Nava, Hiccup and Astrid stepped forward and placed on the table were eight daggers in scabbards, four cylindrical diamond vials, four chained necklaces with bejewelled round pendants and eight wooden, smooth, battle sticks with knobs at one end. Almost instantly, they could feel ...something within them... reaching out and directing them to which ones were theirs. The first objects they were drawn to were four square boxes. Curious, Hiccup, Astrid, Aniu and Nava rested their hands on them and looked up at Evelyn, Torian, Miniki and Stryka for further instructions. "Go on, open them and do not worry, they will not bite." Evelyn urged. Steeling their nerves, Aniu, Nava, Hiccup and Astrid lifted the lids and looked inside. Nestled on small, flat, emerald green for Hiccup and Aniu, sapphire blue for Nava and Astrid, cushions were four pendants formed of a round gem framed with the same precious of the chain. "Necklaces? What are they for?" Nava asked. Aniu's pendant was an emerald gem precisely the same colour as her eyes and framed by pure gold with a pure gold chain. Nava's pendant was a sapphire gem precisely the same colour as his eyes and framed by pure silver with a pure silver chain. Hiccup's pendant was an emerald gem precisely the same colour as his eyes and framed by pure silver with a pure silver chain. Astrid's pendant was a sapphire gem precisely the same colour as her eyes and framed by pure gold with a pure gold chain.
"These necklaces work as communicators, meaning you can use them to talk to each other and other people who wear linked Communicator Necklaces whenever you and them are away from each other." Torian said. "Whenever you want to talk to someone wearing a linked Communicator Necklace, all you have to do is hold the pendant to your lips, press a finger or use your magic to activate it and say the name of the person you want to speak to. To deactivate them, press a finger or use your magic to deactivate it." Miniki said. "Very useful when you are separated from each other but sometimes they will not work if there is too much interference or Magical Wards." Stryka said. "Go on, put them on." Evelyn said impatiently and Aniu, Nava, Hiccup and Astrid did so. The pendants rested over their sternums and the chains were long enough for them to hold the pendants inches away from their faces. As soon as they put them on, Aniu and Nava felt their magic wash over and suffuse into the Com Necklaces, binding them to their wearers. Hiccup and Astrid felt the same thing to a much lesser degree considering their lack of magic.
"It is time for your next gifts." Torian said and gestured at the remaining objects. Aniu, Nava, Hiccup and Astrid felt the pulls again and this time, they were drawn to the daggers. The four Soul-Mates picked them up and examined the scabbards. They were very simple, undecorated scabbards made out of a strong, thick leather with metal at the tips and bases. Aniu and Hiccup both had emerald green scabbards but Aniu's had gold metal and Hiccup's had silver metal. Astrid and Nava both had sapphire blue scabbards but Astrid's had gold metal and Nava's had silver metal. Wondering what the daggers were like, the four Soul-Mates drew the blades out of the scabbards. The blades were as long as their forearms, about 10 inches long, a bright shade of silver, very light, very sharp and very clear. The grips were wrapped in smooth, supple leather and about 6 inches long. The cross-guards were a simple band of metal extending 8 inches equally across between the blades and hilts. The metal was something they were not familiar with. "What kind of metal are these forged out of?' Hiccup asked. "The metal is from a fragment of a meteor that crashed on Athelon many decades ago. We call it Star-Steel and it is virtually indestructible, always retaining its sharpness, strength, lightweight and dexterity." Stryka told them. "It will be very difficult to find better metal in this world." Miniki added.
Aniu, Nava, Hiccup and Astrid sheathed the daggers back into their scabbards and attached them to their belts. "Anything else you four want to give us?" Astrid inquired. "Yes, there are two more gifts left to give to each of you." Evelyn said and gestured for them to turn back to the table and be drawn to the next set of gifts which the Battle-Sticks. There were eight altogether, meaning that Aniu, Nava, Hiccup and Astrid would receive two each. The Battle-Sticks were carved out of smooth, polished, strong wood that was very hard and slightly heavy to the four teens used to wielding weapons. Aniu and Hiccup's were deep brown in colour while Astrid and Nava's were blonde. Lucky last were the four diamond vials. Astrid and Nava were drawn to the sapphire blue ones while Hiccup and Aniu were drawn to the emerald green ones. Aniu and Astrid's had golden stoppers while Nava and Hiccup's had silver stoppers. They could sense the power, benevolence and magic radiating from whatever was inside. When they asked, Evelyn, Torian, Miniki and Stryka smiled wistfully, gazing at the vials. "Inside those vials are Purified Phoenix Tears." Evelyn said. "This liquid is perhaps one of the most healing agents in perhaps the entire galaxy." Torian added. "It is formed from the fresh tears of a Phoenix and combined with the nectar of a Heaven Sunlight Flower." Miniki said. "It can heal any sort of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wound, restore and mend minds and cure any sickness when combined with the natural cure." Stryka added.
"What are Heaven Sunlight Flowers?" Aniu asked. "They are extremely powerful, magical flowers formed when drops of sunlight fall from the heavens." Evelyn told them. "These Tears are perhaps the most precious, powerful and important of all the Gifts of Sunheela you four will ever get." Torian said. "Monsters such as Hags-Fiends are weakened when in the presence of Phoenix Tears." Miniki said. "When used on Hags-Fiends, they can end the Hags-Fiend's life forever." Stryka said. "But to do so is very difficult because Hags-Fiends have gone to great lengths and measures to ensure they keep coming back to life." Stryka said. "Even though Children of Sunheela come back to life whenever they are killed, their minds, bodies and emotions need Purified Phoenix Tears to reach full strength and restoration." Evelyn said. "Most of the time, it is almost impossible to summon Purified Phoenix Tears when you are in the presence of Hags-Fiends." Torian said. "But there are times when it will appear and answer your summons, when that happens, you can end a Hags-Fiend's life forever by pouring droplets onto any part of their body but I think the head or the heart works best." Miniki said. "But that does not mean the Purified Phoenix Tears will be your shield, your weapon or your Hags-Fiend Killer every time a Hags-Fiend appears." Stryka said. "You may sever a Hags-Fiend's head from its neck, you may pierce its heart, you may disembowel it, you may slice its neck but that will not mean the Hags-Fiend will stay dead forever, particularly if that Hags-Fiend is a Champion of Devilcai." Evelyn said.
"And now it is time for us to show you four around your new home, once you four are ready to move in, that is." Torian said. "Your Familiars are waiting in a room close to yours, just down the hallway." Miniki said. "Be warned, this will be a long tour. I am sure you four are anxious to be back with your families." Stryka said. "This room is very beautiful. I wonder how the rest of the...house...will look like." Aniu said. "And how big it is! I am sure not even the richest, wealthiest Vikings have homes as big or grand as you are saying this Home is." Hiccup said. "I am sure Snotlout, Ruffnut, Tuffnut and Fishlegs will be so jealous." Astrid said. "I hope we can enter and leave whenever we want." Nava said. "I assure you four, this place will have everything you need as Children of Sunheela." Evelyn told them. "It is very much impenetrable, warded, shielded and lets you enter and leave whenever you want." Torian added. "Your friends, family and anyone else who has trustworthy intentions can visit whenever you four let them in and out." Miniki said. "You will not have to worry about any...unsavoury folk trying to force or sneak their way in...or out." Stryka added.
Reassured and very much eager and excited to explore the Soul-Bond Home, Aniu, Nava, Hiccup and Astrid walked to the door, Evelyn, Torian, Miniki and Stryka glided after them. The four young Soul-Mates hesitated, wondering who would open the door until Hiccup reached out, grabbed the handle which hummed warmly at his touch, twisted it and pushed the door open, allowing them to walk/ glide out into a wide, spacious, well-lit hallway with walls made out of white marble and wide, double doors on both sides. Each of them were at least ten metres apart. Another door opened and two Dire Wolves and two Reindeer walked out with two Barn Owls and two Golden Eagles perching on their backs. "Ah, there you four are." Caruso sighed in relief when the Familiars and their Bonded saw each other. "We were so worried." Edme said, looking them up and down as if checking for injuries or oddities. "They explained what this place is to us." Zena said. "Apparently, they explained it to you four as well." Artemis said and four ghosts floated out of the doorway, over to Evelyn, Torian, Miniki and Stryka and reformed themselves to their copies. "We can make copies of ourselves when we need to be in more than one place at a time together." Evelyn explained. "I hope that did not freak you lot out. It is a very useful ability. Serves us well as ghosts but we could not do that when we were alive." Torian said. "That way, each of us can reach out to different people and be in different places at the same time." Miniki said. "When you lot find more of your fellow Soul-Bonds and Children of Sunheela, we can split ourselves to guide them individually." Stryka added.
The twelve of them nodded and turned to one another. Hiccup, Sorena and Sprinter were instantly drawn to each other as was Astrid, Stryker and Akira. Hiccup and Astrid simultaneously reached out their hands and Sorena, Sprinter, Stryker and Akira leaned forward at the same time to press their beaks/ noses against Hiccup and Astrid's palms. There was a bright flash of light and shocked gasps. When the light cleared, Sorena was sporting a pair of emerald green horns on her head as was Stryker but his horns were sapphire blue. Sprinter now had a pair of black wings with emerald green markings on them as was Akira, but her wings were pure white with sapphire blue markings on them. Not only that but they could sense each other's minds and presences in their minds, souls and beings. "Wow."/ "Whoa." Was all anyone could say. Evelyn, Torian, Miniki and Stryka only beamed. "This many Soul-Bonds in one day, oh my gosh." Miniki quite accurately summed it up. "Thank you for summing that up." Hiccup replied and everyone laughed, including Hiccup and Miniki. "Come on, we have not even started our tour yet." Evelyn said impatiently. "Oh, calm down and be patient, my love." Torian replied, grinning. "Let us enjoy it and take our time instead of rushing." Stryka said. Miniki could only chuckle in amusement.
They started off by showing their Familiars their room, then their Familiars showed them their room. It contained fur pelts, perches, trees with hollows that had nests inside them and a lot of room for them to run and fly around in. The floor was covered with rich, green grass and the ceiling was sky blue with clouds. After those two, the next room they checked was obviously meant for...dragons. There were stone slabs on the floor and raised platforms that held stone slabs meant for smaller dragons. Once they got over their shock and awe, they checked the rest of the Home, which took hours and left them exhausted, as well as trying to process everything. As Evelyn had said, the Children of Sunheela Home had everything they needed. It contained all of the basics like bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, pantries, toilets and so much more.
Last of all, they were led to the door that led outside to the Village of Berk and their Family's homes. This time, it was Aniu who opened the door it came out from the cliff side into which the Great Hall was built but then they remembered their Soul-Bond Home took up no space at all. Only an act of sheer could have done such a thing. "I think we should go find our families now." Nava said and Aniu, Hiccup and Astrid nodded. They found them in the Great Hall and when they opened the doors and walked inside, all conversations ceased from those present, including their families. Almost instantly, Aniu, Nava, Hiccup and Astrid had to endure frantic hugs and questions about where they had been and what had happened. It took some time but Aniu, Nava, Hiccup and Astrid explained everything that did not have to do with making peace with dragons as they were not too sure how that would go over. They were allowed to find places to sleep and eat dinner as night set in but the next day was spent welcoming the new Elf-Fae arrivals to their village. And boy, was it a party to remember.
