"So where wese going today then?" Rose asked in her thick East-End accent as she leaned against the railings of the Tardis.
"Well" the Doctor sniffed as he tilted his head to the side and back again. "I thought that we could go to a party" he said mysteriously as he hopped around the centre of the Tardis pushing a series of buttons and pulling a series of levers.
"What sort of party?" Rose raised an eyebrow as she asked with a tone of curiosity.
"A celebrity party" he replied in a gruff voice as he fiddled with his tie.
"You being for real?!" Rose smiled, her bedazzling teeth illuminating her face.
"Yeah" the Doctor replied in his sarcastically goofy voice.
"You're just one big party animal you are!" Rose teased as she pointed a finger at the Doctor.
"Spending the night with Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe, who could resist?" The doctor grinned broadly, running his tongue along his teeth.
"What? THE Sinatra and THE Marilyn?" Rose asked, her eyes widening.
"Well how many others do you know?" The Doctor asked, rolling his eyes. "Best be careful around Marilyn though" he warned in a low voice. "Being married to her once was enough."
"You liar! You were never married Marilyn Monroe!" Rose yelled.
"I was!" The Doctor replied in a defensive high pitched tone. "I think everyone was back then" he creased his forehead at the recollection.
"You're unbelievable, you know that?" Rose grinned.
"Oh yes!" The Doctor shouted. "So... Rose Tyler, you ready to go?" He asked in a serious voice.
"YES!" Rose grinned nodding her head.
"Allons-y!" The Doctor exclaimed, before pulling down a lever that caused the Tardis to jolt. The rickety old blue box tossed the two occupants from pillar to post as it travelled through the time vortex; as Rose clung onto the railings for dear life, the Doctor gave her a wink as he attempted, and failed, to control the Tardis. As the Tardis halted, both Rose and the Doctor crashed down onto the grated floor; rolling over as to look at one another, they both fell about laughing. Hopping up onto his feet, the Doctor held his hand out to Rose, before pulling her up with ease. "Ready?" He smiled excitedly, still keeping tight hold of Rose's hand.
"Yes!" She replied giddily, squeezing the Doctor's hand.
Keeping a firm grip on Rose's hand, the Doctor ran down the ramp of the Tardis and through it's door. The duo entered out into a darkly lit room, the only visible light cracking in from under the door that was situated at the far side of the room.
"Okay so a darkly lit room... Still very 1961 I suppose" The Doctor shrugged.
"Hmmm very" Rose muttered sarcastically. "Well I'm gonna go where the real party is, you coming?" She grinned.
"Yeah, I'll just lock the Tardis."
Turning on her heel, Rose wandered over to the door and creaked it open an inch; slowly and carefully she poked her head through the gap in order to see what was happening on the other side. "1961 you say?" She yelled.
"Yeah, good year 1961" The Doctor replied as he turned the key in the lock.
"Well if it's 1961, why are Ant and Dec standing over there?" Rose asked.
"What?" The Doctor said as he wandered over to where Rose was standing. "That can't be right." Extending his head through the gap in the door he said, "Oh... 2001 - that's similar to 1961 right?"
Rose's face gave all the reply that the Doctor needed - no, not right, 2001 is in no way similar to 1961.
