Popcorn. Blanket. TV, disney movie. Aladdin to be specific. Kaoru liked the music. And Hikaru found the genie funny. It was one of their favorite movies to watch together. Magic carpet ride.
"I can show you the world..." The line stuck with Hikaru all night, he couldn't sleep thinking about what that meant. Jasmine was Aladdin's world. Who was his? Haruhi? He liked her, of course, but she really wasn't his world. No... No. She wasn't. She would never be. She was incapable of meaning that much to him even though she already meant a lot. Only one person meant the world to him. And it would never be Haruhi.
"Hika? You look tired. Are you okay? Are you sick? Did you have nightmares? Why didn't you wake me?" Kaoru was leaning over a wide awake Hikaru. It was like nine in the morning and he hadn't gotten a wink of sleep.
"I'm okay I just couldn't sleep Kaoru. I'll be fine."
"Are you sure?" Kaoru asked putting his hand on Hikaru's forehead checking worriedly for a fever.
"I'm fine. I'll just get a coffee."
"You need sleep not coffee." His brother advised. Hikaru stood up and stretched, yawning and running a hand through his messed up hair.
"Hey Kaoru, I can show you the world." Kaoru frowned at him.
"Hikaru I'm worried about you stop making disney jokes."
"No seriously. I could show you the world."
"Fine how, where's our magic carpet?" Kaoru looked ticked though. Hikaru grabbed Kaoru's shoulders and turned him around to face the mirror.
"There. You mean the world to me." Kaoru looked genuinely surprised, as if he hadn't expected anything of the sort to come out of his mischievous brother's mouth.
"You mean the world to me too. Which is WHY you're getting back in bed and sleeping."
"Okay. I just needed to tell you that." Hikaru climbed back in bed, and Kaoru just smiled to himself.
Aladdin was definitely his favorite disney movie.
