Standing there on this edge and looking down was an odd sensation. The way the wind felt as it blew across one's face causing the falling tears to whip through the air in an almost painful matter. What about the feeling of looking down at the busy ant people from on top of an apartment building in the heart of London. The oddest would maybe have to be the sensation of blood dripping and running down one's arms. Small puddle on the left and right were a sign of what's to come. A bloody blade lay discarded somewhere on the roof forgotten.
"Wanna talk about it."
The emotionless voice didn't even make your body flinch. You expected him to come. In fact, you were waiting for him because this was it. Well not really. Deep down the fact of knowing that you would survive began to claw at the back of the mind. You could even begin to feel the flesh slowly being put back together as the regenerative abilities kicked in. A scream of frustration began to claw its way up, but with a heavy swallow, it was gone.
" why should I? You already know." The words were a horse. They held the note of tears, pain, sadness, and betrayal… a betrayal so deep that it became impossible to heal over the years.
"True."
Just a simple word. A simple answer. No emotion. Just a confirmation.
A sick laugh broke the small moment of silence. " so going to try and stop me, or just here to make fun of me?"
A small plop could be heard as he got off a landing. Thus followed as he walked closer and closer, but there was no nervousness. Nothing in fact. Emotion has been fried and thrown away, but sadly they still linger. Somehow.
The cold flesh was a nice contrast as his arm snaked around your middle like a lover would. White hands came into view as they found there a way to your blood covered ones. Weight was placed on your shoulder as his head leaned against yours.
"Remember a deal that They made with you? How about instead of becoming one of them you become my apprentice. One day you will take my place ."
The whispered words sent anger clawing through the almost empty veins, but it died and became agitation. " what's in it for me?" The words came out quieter and sadder than intended.
A quiet chuckle could be felt through the back muscles as his chest jumbled and moved a little " I'll get rid of your emotion. Completely gone-"
"I'll do it."
No hesitation. No need to think. This is the reason that you're here now. Why everything so fucked up. Emotions.
The body that was behind you slowly pulled away but pulled you to fully face him. As your eyes met it felt like your breath was literally ripped out of your lungs.
Those dark blue eyes were one of the last things that flashed before your eyes before all you could see was bright blue. The wind rushed past at high speeds. The moment your mind caught up with the events did it become too late.
You had been pushed off the roof.
Turning around he was standing there with his signature smirk.
"How'd it feel to die, Yugi?"
