First things first, this is a rewrite of a fanfic that does not belong to me. The original fanfiction was written by a deviantart user by the name of Alaxr274. I had asked permission to make a rewritten version of the story that was closer to an actual piece of literature, instead of summarizing events. The original author granted permission, so here I am.
Some people have attempted to rewrite My Immortal, so why not do it with something lesser known and with an interesting (though admittedly bizarre) concept?
Credit goes to Alaxr274 on deviantart for the original concept.
Fun fact: I have never watched Gurren Lagann.

It was a quiet, peaceful night in Beverly Hills, California. The full moon illuminated the dark night sky, the city lights lighting up the ground.
However, not all was peaceful in Beverly Hills tonight, thanks to a certain cat burglar.
Quietly sneaking into the house, the robber flashed a smug grin. He took one look at the TV in the living room and knew that it would be his.
Crime would seem as if it had won tonight. However, unbeknownst to the cat burglar, there was someone lurking in the shadows outside the house, ready to pounce on the criminal.
Hearing a window open, she stiffened. Peering in the general direction of the noise, she saw the man, holding a flat screen television. It was clear he was struggling to hold it.
Now's the time to make an entrance, she figured.
"Need any help with that, sir?"
Heart racing, the burglar looked up. Standing in front of him, in a Wonder Woman pose, was the girl who was ready to put a stop to his evil deeds.
The man scoffed. "Just what do you want? Go home, girl. I'm busy."
"What do I want? I'll tell you what I want! I want justice! I am known as Hottie, the pyrokinetic superhero!"
Hottie, secretly known as Allison Cole, was the real deal. There was no denying her scorching abilities and powerful fire attacks. When she had her mind set on something, she knew to go for it. And tonight was no different.
Setting down the TV, the cat burglar got settled into a fighting stance. Hottie tried not to laugh.
"Did you not hear me? In that case, I better show you."
Pointing at the man's feet, a blast of fire suddenly shot out of her fingertips, catching the criminal's shoe on fire.
Stamping out the fire, the man snarled.
"I didn't want to do this, girl, but you leave me no choice!"
He reached for his coat pocket, pulling out a gun.
"Make one move and it's over. Your choice, girl."
This guy meant business. Hottie trembled slightly at his serious demeanor. Could this be the end of her?
Suddenly, a giant metal hand grabbed the burglar, who dropped his gun on the sidewalk. In a daze, Hottie looked up.
Standing in front of her was a massive red robot. On its chest were wild-looking sunglasses, and on the top of its head was a design similar to that of a crescent moon. It was unlike anything Hottie had seen before.
The felon struggled, shouting swears at the robot. The robot simply squeezed him in his grip, knocking him out.
Hottie stared in wonder as the robot gently put the man down on the grass. Just where had this robot come from?
The head port suddenly opened up. Inside was a man with dark blue hair and goggles on his head.
He flashed a devilish grin. "How's it going down there, Viral?"
The robot's torso opened up, revealing another man. This one had blond hair and a dark reddish outfit. He was also smiling, but his teeth appeared VERY sharp.
"Everything's going wonderfully, Simon."
Hottie took a wobbly step backwards, taking in the sight.
Focusing on the girl, Viral stared, then laughed.
"Hey, Hottie! Can you call the police right about now? We don't know how long this guy is gonna be out."
Taking in a deep breath, she nodded, pulling out her phone to call the police.
As the police officers took the lawbreaker away, Hottie let out a shaky breath. That was definitely a close one. It was a relief that the men in the giant robot had come to her rescue. Speaking of which, who were they and how did they know who she was?
Feeling a hand on her shoulder, she froze. Looking back, a wave of solace washed over her once she realized that it was Simon, one of the pilots of the robot. The other pilot, Viral, was standing behind him.
"Hey, can we talk to you for a second?" Simon looked as if he needed to say something important.
"Um, sure. What is it?"
Taking the superheroine's hand, he led her behind a building, Viral following suit.
"We need to talk to you about something very important, Allison," Simon said in a hushed voice.
"Wait, h-how do you know my secret identity? What's going on here?"
Moving a finger to his lips to signal the girl to keep quiet, Simon continued his explanation.
"The reason we know who you are is because, well, we've been watching you for a few days. We-"
A look of disgusted shock crossed Hottie's face.
"You've been WATCHING ME?! Do you have any idea how creepy that is?!"
Viral spoke up in an attempt to explain the situation, and to keep the girl quiet.
"Calm down! Listen, we know it's kind of weird, but we had no choice. You see, there's something going on that's serious. It affects all of the multiverse!"
Hottie raised an eyebrow in confusion. "The... multiverse?"
"What Viral is trying to say is..." Simon sighed. "We come from another world."
Viral scoffed. "Like the giant robot didn't already alert her to that."
Simon ignored him and continued. "Allison, right now there's a serious threat going on right now. We need your help."
Hottie grimaced. "Care to explain? You're being awfully vague..."
"Simon, you're not helping the girl out here," Viral interrupted. "Let me explain.
"Hottie, right now there's a team of villains, trying to invade the multiverse in order to rule it. They're known as the G.O.S.E., or Guild of Super Evil. We're trying to gather as many heroes as possible in order to stop them. That's why we've been watching you. We needed to know if you could help us with your powers."
Hottie bit her nails nervously as she considered the possibilities. She wasn't used to fighting villains on this scale. She was only comfortable with stopping crime in Beverly Hills.
"Gosh, I don't know... Can I have time to think about it?"
Viral shook his head. "Sorry, but we really need an answer. The entire multiverse is at stake here."
Hottie sighed as she gave a response. "F-fine... I'll do it."
Viral grinned, his sharp fangs catching Hottie off guard once again. "Good. Now, we really need to get going. The Guild isn't going to stop for a teenage girl, so hurry up and get in the Super Galaxy Dai-Gurren."
Hottie suddenly had an idea. "Hey, Simon and Viral? I think I have some idea as to who can help us."
Simon smiled. "Really? Who are they?"
Hottie rubbed her hands together and took a deep breath, smiling cheerfully.
"Just a couple of friends of mine. My sidekick, David Eels, my two friends, Kellyn and Dorinda, and last but not least, Designated Dean, the driver of the Hottiemobile."
Viral looked as if he had just witnessed horns growing out of her head.
"You're kidding, right? They don't have superpowers! How the hell could they possibly help us?"
"Easy, Viral," Simon assured, gently pushing him out of the way so he could talk to Hottie.
"That sounds like a great idea, Allison."
Viral nearly exploded with anger. "You're kidding! You are kidding me! How do you expect a bunch of damn teenagers without any powers to help us out here?! This isn't a joke, Simon!"
Simon scowled. "Viral, we need all the help we can get. Who knows, they might be a force to be reckoned with."
Viral groaned. "Fine! But don't expect me to go easy on them."
A small smile came across Simon's lips. Turning back to Hottie, he placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Are you going to call them soon?"
Hottie blinked. "Oh! Yeah, of course! Hold on, I'll call them right now."
Dialing in David's number, Hottie's heart raced in excitement. She was scared, but excited, and she could feel the anticipation building inside her as her friend picked up the phone.
"Um, hello?" His voice sounded groggy, and it was clear he had just woken up.
"David!" Hottie's sudden voice startled him, and he jumped.
"A-Allison? Good god, it's midnight! Why are you calling me up so late?"
"Sorry, David, but I have something really important to discuss with you. Can you call Dean and tell him to pick you, Kellyn, and Dorinda up? You guys need to meet me at Rexford Drive. You'll see a giant robot, so it shouldn't be too hard to know where I'm at."
"Wh- Giant robot!? Allison, are you serious?!"
"More than anything, David. See you soon!" Ignoring David's cries of confusion, she clicked the phone off and placed it back in her pocket.
"David and the others will be here soon." Hottie said, while Viral and Simon simply glanced at each other in doubt.
Around 25 minutes later, the Hottiemobile showed up at Hottie, Simon, and Viral's location. As Hottie's 3 friends stepped out of the car, all of their attention was focused on the gigantic robot.
David was in absolute awe. He was a major enthusiast when it came to science fiction and superheroes, so this was like a dream come true for him.
Dorinda and Kellyn were more surprised than enamored. They kept glancing back from the robot, to the two men they had never seen before, and back to the robot.
"Uh... Hottie? What's going on here?" Dorinda asked, walking up to meet up with her, Kellyn following behind her.
"Dorinda! Simon and Viral will explain everything on the way. It's a long, long story."
While Hottie ushered the two to talk to Simon and Viral, David was still staring up at the Gurren Lagann. She walked up next to him.
"This... this is amazing..." David whispered, completely awestruck. "This is like something from an anime!"
Hottie giggled. "You're such a dork, y'know that?"
David blushed, embarrassed.
Lost in the moment of teasing, David and Hottie didn't notice Kellyn and Dorinda next to them moments later. Kellyn looked happy, while Dorinda looked unsure.
"What's got you so happy, Kellyn?" Hottie teased.
Kellyn sighed lovingly, twirling her brown hair with her finger.
"I'm kind of scared, but... that Simon guy is pretty damn hot."
Dorinda elbow-jabbed her playfully, her uncertainty vanishing for a split second. The feelings of worry soon returned to her, though.
"Hottie, we want to help, but we have no idea what good we would bring. This seems really dangerous, even for a superhero like you."
"Come ooon, Dorinda! It'll be an awesome experience!" Hottie pouted in an over-exaggerated manner, causing Dorinda to roll her eyes, even though she was smiling a little.
"Yeah, come on!" Kellyn chimed in. "I mean, do you see that hottie with the blue hair? You don't want to disappoint him, do you?"
Dorinda couldn't hide her smile any longer.
"All right, fine. I'll join you guys."
Hottie couldn't help it - she squealed in joy, hugging Dorinda tight.
"Oh my god, thank you! We'll have the time of our lives! That's a promise!"
Kellyn also hugged Dorinda, this time from behind.
"This is gonna be awesome!" Kellyn shrieked, bouncing up and down on her toes. "Three girls, three cute boys, all on a journey to save the multiverse!"
Simon and Viral both walked up to the four teens. Viral looked impatient, but Simon seemed to be doing just fine.
"You four ready to go?" He asked. Hottie, Kellyn, and David nodded.
"Alright then. Now, I'm going to need you four to get inside the even bigger, black robot."
They all looked up. Blending into the night sky was a HUGE robot, with drills on its shoulders.
"YES!" David pumped his fist in the air. "Could this get ANY better?!"
"Nerd." Viral scoffed
David looked offended. "Excuse me, shark teeth, but the correct term is geek, thank you very much."
Viral shook his head. "Whatever, nerd. Come on, we don't have any time to waste. We need to get in the robot."
Ignoring his "nerd" comment, David followed the two to the Super Galaxy Dai-Gurren, also known as the huge black robot. The three girls followed them, with Kellyn trying to get closer to Simon.
As they all got situated inside, Simon pushed a few buttons, and the Super Galaxy Dai-Gurren shot up into the sky.
David stared at the window in front of him, sighing happily.
"Where are we going first?" Dorinda asked.
Simon smirked. "Just a little place called the Baman Piderman universe."
I can not believe I just ended it with THAT. Oh my god, I can't believe I'm writing this, period.
Updates will come at least once a month. And for anyone wondering, I haven't dropped Cartoon Universe. I have a lot of ideas for that story, I'm just doing this in my free time.
IMPORTANT: Please tell me if I write any canon characters OOC. I want them to be as close to canon as possible. Thank you for reading!
