Sirens could be heard from miles away. There were cops everywhere in the area doing the same thing he was, but Kaito had a different agenda. Kaito knew Luka was here. Everywhere she went the cops followed, as did he. Kaito knew if he found her his duty was to arrest her at once, but he would give her a chance to explain what happened first. Nearby Luka was hiding in an alley way waiting for the heat to cool off. The cops had been tailing her for a few days now. She had to rest. Looking out into the street she saw the last person she wanted to see. Kaito. She ducked back into the alley way hoping she wasn't spotted.

Kaito caught a glimpse of something from the corner of his eye. Pistol in hand, he made his way towards the alley way. He rounded the corner, barely dodging a punch aimed at his face. He slammed the unknown attack into the brick wall. Widening his eyes, Kaito let go of his attacker,"Luka?"

Luka responded by clamping her hand onto his mouth,"Be quiet! I don't need them to find me!"

Kaito grabbed her arm roughly,"You are not in the position to be telling me what to do. I could arrest you right now!"

Luka gave a knowing smirk,"But you won't because you don't believe I did it."

"No I don't, but not for the reason you are thinking. I know you are very much capable of murder, but I don't think that if you were going to do it that you would leave incriminating evidence right in the open,"Kaito softened his face," and I know that you wouldn't have targeted children, especially not those twins."

Luka lowered her eyes, tears threatening to surface,"People will only believe what they see, or think they see."

Kaito lifted her chin searching her eyes,"So what are you going to do? The fact that you ran has made you a suspect and we have your prints on the bodies. Things are looking very bad for you right now."

"Kaito, I don't know what I can do. I just know that I must find proof of my innocence, and find the real killer."

Kaito sighed,"I'll see what I can find that will prove that you were framed and hopefully get to the bottom of this, but I am going to need time. You must go somewhere safe and hide."

Luka reached up and wrapped her arms around Kaito's shoulders,"You'll come for me right?"

Kaito returned the hug giving her a kiss on the forehead. At that moment they heard someone call out to Kaito. Luka ran disappearing into the alley way.

"Hey Kaito! Did you find anything?"

"Yes, Officer Kiyoteru, I just got a report that the suspect was spotted on the other side of town,"

"Good job, Officer!" Kiyoteru headed towards his patrol car.

'Yes, Luka I will come for you.'
