NOTE: Hey guys! This is a modern AU so yeah! Enjoy!

"The four of you will be guarding the entertainer that is coming to our village for the next few hands, curious of how they would act. It was no doubt that they had all matured, but it had been almost a year since they had done any mission together. Sakura had grown up the most, she decided. Sasuke had problems that would always haunt him now. Naruto was so devoted to Hinata that he often spaced out and forgot basic things, but he was a great shinobi. Kakashi hadn't changed much, but seemed skeptical as to why she had called them together. "Any questions?" Naruto narrowed his eyesa dn leaned forward, slamming his hands on her desk, causing the stacks of paper to wobble and a few stray pieces to drift gently to the floor.

"Why don't you have a team of genin perform that? We've graduated from working in teams. We have our own teams now if you remember right." Tsunade leaned back in her chair, eyeing the blonde carefully. She was aware of his loudness and rudeness, but she wasn't sure how much she wanted to deal with at the moment.

"This is no ordinary entertainer, Naruto." Her brown eyes drifted over to Kakashi, who was watching her intently. "You should recognize her rather quickly, Kakashi." He made a sort of humming noise before closing his eyes and bringing his hand to his mask, covering his already covered mouth. "Anything else?"

The four stood in silence. Sasuke stared out the window to the side, not particularly interested. Sakura glanced at him from time to time, but her emerald eyes landed on her old teacher. "Tsunade-sama, what about our teams?"

"Oh yes. I almost forgot. Sakura, you're team will be running errands for me in the village itself so no need to worry about them. Shizune will keep an eye on them for you. Naruto, your team will be under the guidance of Shikamaru, giving his team a chance to rest after their last mission. Sasuke, your team just got back from one so I wont have any need to have them watched over. I'm sure you've taught them how to take care of themselves in the daily world by now." Kakashi put his hands in the pockets of his royal blue sweats, hunching his back. "Looks like youre a team leader again, Kakashi."

"I assumed." Tsunade smiled before standing up. "She arrives at dawn tomorrow morning at the east gate. I expect the four of you to be there before then to welcome her and guide her to her hotel. Understood?" The four nodded in unison, each of their facial expressions different from the next. "Good. You're dismissed."

Kakashi glanced at his students as they walked away from him. He couldn't believe how much they had changed in the short time they had been on their own. Sasuke seemed more relaxed than before. Sakura had mellowed out now that she had him on her arm. Naruto was also calmer than before, but he figured that was due to Hinatas influence. Despite knowing how much had changed in the few months, Kakashi couldn't help but blame himself for their stressed behavior when they had been a team. With a sigh, he began across the street to Control Central. The building climbed eighteen stories high, the second tallest only to the Hokage's building across the street. Inside it was a base floor lobby with a reception desk to check in the genin and chuunin as well as academy students. On the floor above that was the school cafeteria and teacher lounge. Kakashi shook slightly at the thought of teaching undergradates. A few floors were home to the classes of children, as well as training floors for different types of chakra types. One floor was housing for orphan children, another for ANBU members. Although kakashi had to ability to enter the level, he often avoided it. Above that, was a conference floor where Special Jounin went to fill out paperwork in peace. Above that, on the top floor, was where he was headed.

He nodded to the receptionist as he walked past the desk, making her blush and smile shyly and turn her head. He glanced at her as he passed her, watching as she suppressed a giggle. Ignoring it, he reached for the door to the stairs. The building had an elevator, but he preferred to walk instead of stand on the crowded room with a bunch of school children.

Once to his desired floor, he opened the heavy metal door. Not to his surprise, Kurenai was sitting on the staff couch with her baby in her arms, sleeping heavily. "Ah! Kakashi-san!" she said happily, not budging and inch. He closed the door quietly and walked past her to the kitchen, opening the fridge and grabbing a water bottle and opening it with a crack. "I hear that your team has been brought back together!"

"Yeah. We have a mission to complete." He said smoothly, tossing the empty bottle into the recycle before opening the door to the hall. "If you need me I'll be in the library."

"Sure. I'll let Gai know whenever he gets back. He went out to visit Lee today so who knows when he'll be back."

'He wont be back until dark.' Kakashi thought as he nodded and shut the door tightly behind him. He didn't mind staying here. It was lonely living on your own. However sometimes Gai was overwhelming, as well as Kurenai's child. 'Now to find out who it is that we're watching.'

Naruto grabbed Sasuke's arm as they passed the Ramen shop. "Guys! We have to do it!"

"Naruto!" Sakura groaned, running a hand through her pink hair. Sasuke stared blankly at him, not really caring much for ramen.

"Oh c'mon! It'll be like old times! Besides, Hinata is gone on a mission and I don't want to be alone." Sakura rolled her eyes and hit the button on the pole, causing it to beep loudly. "Yes!" Naruot exclaimed, throwing a fist into the air.

"Calm down or I'm not going." Sasuke muttered, slapping his team mate on the back of the head.

"Ow!" Naruto growled, baring his teeth. The light changed and the cars stopped, and the three walked across the street together in silence.

"Welcome to Oishi's! Please find a seat and we'll be right with you!" A waitress who couldn't be much older than theirselves said cheerily. Naruto smiled and nodded, quickly leading them to a corner seat.

"This is my favorite place!" he said, flipping his glass over and smiling brightly. Sakura couldn't help but smile at her old friend.

"Here are your menu's. Can I get you something to drink?" The waitress asked, smiling as she looked at the three. "Naruto? You're usual?"

"yes please!" he chirped, then glanced at his friends.

"Um, lemon tea?" Sakura asked quietly. The waitress smiled and nodded as she wrote down her words. Sasuke handed her back the menu.

"I'll have a water and a bowl of white rice." He said flatly.

"Oh! Are all of you ready for food?"

"OH um I guess we are!" Sakura said uncertainly. "I'll have miso soup please."

"Of course miss. Naruto, pork ramen?"

"You know it!"

"I'll be back with your drinks shortly."

Sakura hit Sasuke's arm. "What the hell was that for? Huh?" Sasuke shrugged, crossing his arms and leaning back.

"I don't want to be here.."

"Well suck it up!" Sakura snapped her head in the direction Naruto. "And you come here often enough to have a usual?" Naruto blushed and rubbed the back of his head awkwardly.

"Well, I enjoy ramen! Hinata is a great cook! I just like ramen more than rice cakes sometimes."Sakura raised an eyebrow.

"Naruto, you have to come here more than just here or there to have a usual." He laughed awkwardly and loudly, ending the discussion. She shook her head and sighed. "What will I do with you two idiots?"
