Chaotic Horizon

Standing on the bridge of his Imperial Star Destroyer, the Captain watches out the view port as he watches the light display of red and green fill the void of space. Space acted as a ballroom and the dancers were the various X-Wings, A-Wings, TIE Fighters and TIE Interceptors exchanging expertly executed moves against each other. The fighters were the real performers of the show as the capital ships exchange far-off blows with each other. Heavy turbolaser emplacements pound into each other as the highly concentrated gases forming into super-hot plasma ram against the shields and then eventually melt away at the hull plating of the ship itself.

A large rocking sensation fills the Star Destroyer as Y-Wings flow from the dance and pummel the ship with torpedoes. The shields flash a cobalt blue as the torpedoes collide into the energy fields. Soon after several barrages of the bombs, the shields collapse and the torpedoes hit their mark into the hull itself. Large chunks of durasteel fly off the Star Destroyer as if a vibroblade was cutting through butter. Soon after this, small pinwheeling, bodies fly out into the void of space and permanently become a part of the dance. Transparent fields immediately take the place of durasteel and transparisteel. The captain does not panic as he trusts his performers in this comedy called life, his enemy is faltering with their strategy and are become desperate.

The good captain orders his TIE Bombers to fly en masse to overwhelm the enemy cruiser and bring the opponent captain to his knees. Hundreds of bombers chase after their target to sink their teeth into the prey. The TIE Interceptors fly cover for the helpless bombers as A-Wings and X-Wing attempt to protect their home, the Y-Wings get ripped to shreds by the TIE Fighters that were heading back to their home. The captain knows the dance is almost over, he has won this battle and soon the enemy will retreat before he has a chance to destroy the expensive, yet simplistic, ship. Only a couple of Y-Wings have survived the massacre the TIE Fighters brought upon them and the TIE Bombers have caused quite a bit of chaos on the enemy ship.

The captain of the ship hails the captain of the Destroyer. "Please...we surrender. We have women and children aboard our ship and we wish to surrender to the Galactic Empire to save these innocent civilians." With a smug look on his face the Imperial Captain smirks and responds, "As soon as those citizens of the Empire boarded that ship they became Rebel sympathizers. They are now enemies of the Empire and lawful targets of the Imperial Navy's Rules of Engagement. We are opening fire in five......four......three.....two...." The message cuts off as the Rebel cruiser spins around and attempts to hyperspace away from this conflict, but it is too late. The TIE Bombers, out of pure instinct, begin to lob proton torpedoes into the engines of the cruiser. The TIE Interceptors destroy any opposition to the fighters.

The blue glow of the engines die out with a fiery roar and explosion as the torpedoes hit their mark. The TIE Interceptors tear apart the remaining Rebel fighters before they hyperspace away. The Star Destroyer looms over the ship and launches three Stormtrooper Transports to board and take any Rebellion prisoners, such as captains or other important officers. "The dance was enjoyable, but all good things must come to an end." After the transports return to the dagger-shaped cruiser, large flashes of green light are the last thing the citizens see before they are forced into the deep, death of space and become part of the horizon, forever.
