A little help from the son of God
I certainly don't own Jesus, Simon-Peter, or John, or the disciples, or God! But, I'm guessing you knew that all ready.
Daniel ran through the streets of Jerusalem. He wanted to find Jesus, but, first, he needed a few directions. Daniel stopped in front of a cart. "Excuse me sir, do you know where Jesus is teaching?" Daniel asked. "At the temple." The man replied. "Thank you." Daniel said. And with that, he raced towards the temple.
Jesus was talking with his disciples when Daniel arrived. Daniel skidded to a halt and backed up into the shadows. He sat down and began drawing people in the sand. Daniel sat there for a few minutes before checking to see if
Jesus and his disciples were still there. With a feeling of dismay, he saw that they were not. He stood and ran down the road after them. It didn't take long for Daniel to catch up. Went he did, Daniel saw that Jesus was not with them. "Jesus, where is he?" Daniel asked breathlessly. "The master is busy." Simon-Peter replied. "I need to speak with him. It's about-" Daniel began. He stopped when John laid a hand on Daniel's head. "What's your name?" John asked. "Daniel, Sir." Daniel replied. "Come with me, Daniel." John told him. Daniel eagerly followed him.
They found Jesus praying. Neither of them dared to interrupt Jesus. Instead, they kneeled and prayed with Jesus. When Jesus stood, John and Daniel stood, too. "Master." John said. "This boy, Daniel, would like to speak with you, if that is all right." Daniel bowed his head slightly in greeting. "It is." Jesus replied. John left Daniel with Jesus, but not without bowing his head first.
"Come, sit with me." Jesus said kindly. Daniel obeyed. "Tell me, Daniel, what is on your mind?" Jesus asked when they were both sitting. "Oh, it's awful. There are these four boys who are bullying my little sister, Leah, and I don't know what to do. I feel so bad when she asks me for help and I don't know what to do. But, what can I do? Leah is so sweet and lovely and smart, and I can't see why anyone would want to bully her." Daniel replied.
Jesus nodded thoughtfully. "I see. These boys, are they older than her?" Jesus asked. "Yes, I believe so, sir." Daniel replied. "You remember the commandment, do you not, 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you'?" Jesus asked. "Yes Sir, I do." Daniel replied. "Daniel, have you asked these boys why they bully Leah?" Jesus asked. "Well, no. Should I?" Daniel replied. Jesus smiled. "Ask these boys, nicely, to stop bullying your sister. If they do not, do not resort to violence. Keep asking nicely." Jesus replied. "If they ask me whose name I'm telling them to stop by, could I say I'm telling them to stop in God's name?" Daniel replied. Jesus smiled. "You could, Daniel." Jesus replied.
So, the next time Daniel saw the bullies, he told them to stop bullying his sister. "In whose name?" they laughed. Daniel smiled. "In the name of God, Please stop bullying my sister. There is a commandment that goes like this: 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.' I'm sure you would not like it if she bullied you. So, in the name of God, please stop bullying my little sister." Daniel replied. And they did. Leah never had a problem with those boys ever again.
