The Beach
Elliot, Zoey and I are all good friends, or I should say we were good friends. I'm going to tell you a story about how we all became even closer to each other and it all starts in the forest/bush at Airlie beach, Australia, where we live. My friends and I were camping. It was when Zoey and I were 18 and Elliot was 19, it was awesome. We set up camp, ate toasted marshmallows everything was perfect because all we could smell was the fire, the toasted marshmallows and the salty sea. We were siting a couple of metres away from where we had pitched the tent, as we watched the sun set, suddenly we heard a strange noise.
The three of us decided to go and check out what had made that loud and frightening crashing sound. On our way to investigate, we heard something that sounds like bombs, our hearts started to sink. We raced forwards but when we came to the closest clearing in the trees, in front of us we saw a crashed ship. We didn't know what air force it was from, but it certainly was not Australian. We all jumped when suddenly an 'alien' came out of the feign air craft. Elliot runs one way while Zoey and I run the other way. The alien follows Elliot. We hear more bombs. We're scared and we're worried for Elliot.
We ran so far our legs nearly collasped, so we sat on some tree roots for a while. Suddenly we heard twigs snap and leaves crunch, we got up and out of there as quickly as we could before we could find out who was there. I start to think about Elliot. I see that Zoey is thinking about him too. We're both worried about him.
CRASH!
BANG!
BOOM!
BAM!
We screamed at the sudden noise, hopping that our city was okay, and that our friends and our family were safe. Zoey and I started to move again. As I looked up through the trees, I catch a glimpse of hope, through the canopy of leaves I see the lights of an Australian fighter plane.
Zoey and I sat down by the edge of a perfectly round clearing, roughly 160 metres in radius. After a few minutes of just sitting there and catching our breath, as we got up we saw a figure just through the trees on the other side of the clearing, it was Elliot! We ran towards him, but when we were all about 60 metres into the clearing, the alien walks in from behind Elliot and shoots. Zoey and I screamed. Elliot cried out in pain. Zoey dropped to the ground. The feign soldier came closer to us. All i could think was 'all for one and one for all'. So I ran towards Elliot. I started to cry. The soldier shot at me. He missed. I fell to my knees beside Elliot. The soldier got closer. He reloaded his weapon. He went to shoot. He fell to the ground. Dead. I looked around, and noticed a loud sound. An australian air force chopper landed in the clearing a couple metres away from Elliot and myself. A couple of Australian soldiers raced out and helped my friends and I into the chopper. The pilot flew us to the nearest hospital while telling us; it was Korea that had attacked, the city was fine, and they found us while searching for any surviving enemy soldiers.
While we were in the air, Zoey and Elliot were holding hands and saying how worried they had been about each other. Elliot ended up be really sweet and proposed to Zoey, who squealed with joy, love and pure happiness. The doctors removed the bullet from his forearm and we were all sent home to our families.
And that's the story of how we became Best Friends.
