Bruises of Love, Hidden under your smile,
You're never smiling,
Haven't seen you for awhile.
Your pain is apparent,
Yet your voice is unheard,
You've never gotten the happiness,
That you deserved.
I sit here at your tombstone, and I ask myself, "Why?"
The clouds pouring upon me,
It seems even the gods can cry.
I see your glowing form, approaching from afar,
My eyes light up ,I know,
Seeing how happy you are.
" Thank you," you say "for letting me have rest."
And then I nod all the while crying, "For you, nothing less."
This poem is dedicated to all those who have fallen in love, just to have their happiness and joy ripped away from them in a flash.
I wrote this poem to remind those people that just because we think our loved ones shouldn't have to die, doesn't mean they want us to ignore all reason and forget our own lives.
I moved on when my best friend died, I will NEVER forget her, but I have made new friends and they are what makes it easier to live everyday.
