He had always loved traveling, and the fact that he could do so. Most slaves didn't even bother dreaming of traveling to unknown lands, because they knew such dreams would never be fulfilled. But he knew that not only slaves like him, but other commoners couldn't travel to foreign lands, not wanting to have to go through the trouble of trying to brave the mighty desert that separated Xerxes from the rest of civilization. He had something special, and he chose to cherish it.
Traveling was something he loved- everything you could learn and do was so fascinating- and something he had been doing for a very long time. Some people he knew defined him by his love for seeking out new countries. But, there was something that always drew him back to Amestris, whether it was his fears that made him want to check and see what the Homunculus was currently plotting, or maybe it was just the people surrounding him there that had him coming back.
But now, it seemed Amestris had now just handed him another reason to want to stay in the country his so called "enemy" had built. He walked into the room holding Edward in his arms. Trisha smiled at him and shifted the small bundle in her arms so that he could see Alphonse's face. "Alphonse," She beamed at him, "This is your daddy." He smiled back at her a whispered a quiet thank you.
He wouldn't be traveling anywhere any time soon. There was no point in leaving, everything he needed was right here in Amestris.
