why is dora so stupid?

she asks stupid questions when we already know that its right there. like when swiper is hiding from dora and boots. like on one of the episodes swiper was curled up in a ball right behind them.and they turned around facing swiper's direction. and she's like "do you see swiper? where?" like he his right there you dumbass you are turned his direction. you couldn't miss him.
