Lavi's Love

Lavi stood outside his bedroom door, gaping at the sight. Miakoda, looking so defenseless, standing there in only a shirt and… Lavi jerked his eyes back upward, trying to stand steady. He rested a hand on the frame of his door. This was all too much. She was just so damn cute!

"Lavi?" she whispered, blushing. His eyes drifted towards her beautiful face that had a slight blush on it. "Please? Can I sleep with you? I had a bad dream."

It was only then he realized that he was shirtless; he didn't even notice that Miakoda took note of that. "Uh, well, uh, um, you see, Mia, I—"

"I-I get it," she said softly, her eyes brimming with tears. "I'm sorry to bug you." She turned to walk away, but Lavi grabbed her shoulder.

"Miakoda, wait! It's fine, please come in!" He pulled her in before she could answer, leading her towards his bed. "So, uh, this is my, um, bed. You can have it, I'll just sleep on the floor."

She gave a little squeak. "Oh, I couldn't let you do that, Lavi, please I'll just go back to my room and—"

"NO!" he shouted a little too loudly. Miakoda looked startled as he said, "Just come here. I'll protect you, Mia."

She hesitantly took a few steps over toward Lavi until she was standing right in front of him. She looked up at him. One of the sleeves of her shirt fell down, exposing her shoulder. It took all Lavi had not to fix it for her, just so he could stop imagining what she would look like without it on…

He shook his head. He stepped towards Miakoda so the distance between them was only that of an inch. He stared down at her with a strange expression on his face. Miakoda stared back, wondering what he was thinking about.

Finally, Lavi leaned down towards Miakoda, and her thoughts instantly turned towards what his lips would feel like on hers, how their tongues would move as one, and how wonderful it would be…

Something met her forehead, and she realized it was Lavi's. "I'm not going to take advantage of you, Mia. As much as I love you and say perverted things and even do perverted things to you sometimes, I refuse to take advantage of you right now. Climb into my bed and I'll hold you until you fall asleep."

Miakoda felt something choke up in her throat, and she realized it was a sob. She let it out while she climbed into the bed, thinking, I love you too, Lavi.
