Written for Alarice Tey's Settings Challenge. My pairing was Narcissa Black and Lily Evans, and my setting was a mountain. Please review with your thoughts.

"Come on, Lily," Narcissa called, her thinning patience evident by the whine in her voice.

"Sorry I'm not as fit as you are Cissa," Lily retorted breathlessly, struggling to catch up to Narcissa's fast strides.

The annoyance left her sea blue eyes to be replaced by mirth and a hint of lust. "You don't think you're fit?" Narcissa asked in a low voice, smirking as a blush spread across Lily's freckled face. "Come on slow poke, we're almost there."

"Almost where?" Lily cried desperately, grabbing hold of Narcissa's hang so she'd have to slow down for the red head.

"Sirius showed me these little caves carved into the mountain last year, before Bella went and upset him."

"He hasn't changed, for the record," Lily said softly, squeezing the blonde's hand comfortingly, knowing she often missed her cousin. "He's still the idiot you know and love."

Narcissa forced herself to laugh. "I wasn't expecting him to grow up just yet."

Lily tried to laugh as well, but the mountain hike had already destroyed her lungs. She was excited to still be breathing properly, if she was being honest.

"Here," Narcissa's soft voice called against the wind. She let go of Lily's hand and leaf the way into the small mountainside cave. Lily followed nervously.

"Why did you bring me here Cissa?"

The older girl didn't answer. Instead, she wrapped her arms around Lily's waist and kissed her softly. "I've missed you," she said finally.

"I've missed you, too. Malfoy hogs you."

Narcissa sighed. "He's my fiancé, flower."

"Doesn't mean he's not hogging you," Lily said stubbornly, a pout forming on her face. "Why are you marrying him?"

It wasn't the first time Lily had asked her that question. Every time she did, Narcissa was less and less sure about her answer. "I have to Lily. I have to. My father –"

"Right. Your father," Lily muttered quietly, moving forward and kissing Narcissa. The blonde leaned into the kiss, before breaking it quickly. "Why did you –"

"Maybe we should do this anymore," Narcissa said quietly. "I'm getting married in a month Lily."

"Then shouldn't we enjoy the time we have?" Lily countered quickly, as though she had been waiting for this to happen.

Narcissa smiled, a laugh getting caught in her throat as she felt tears welling up in her eyes. "I have to marry Lucius. And you're going to find someone who makes you happy, who you can marry and have a child with." She took a deep breath, taking Lily's hands and looking into her emerald eyes. "But I will never forget you Lily Evans. Never."
